Nerf Boomdozer Mega Shotgun Conversion Mod Guide

In this video I install a 3D printed cylinder to make my Mega XL Boomdozer into a Mega shotgun that fires three rounds at once! Having all of the MEGA darts be the same brand helps a ton with consistency of firing all three as you will see in the video. It might also be helpful for some to see where the solvent welds are and what the internals look like. Next I plan to do a spring upgrade and try some of the other cylinders, but this was fun for now.
Get the files to print this yourself! (I did not create this, and was not the first to do it, just a happy enthusiast jumping in on the fun work of smart people like this)

Glad you like my cylinder design! It was definitely designed with a spring upgrade in mind. 3 megas weigh more then 1 mega XL after all. Great video!

Ha! Oh! This is exciting! I’m glad you saw this! And yes a spring mod is on my list! I have the other cylinders printed as well. I was going to try and figure out how you did the quick change ones next!

@@AnthonyStuart Oh it's actually extremely simple. just make a few cuts in the right places and it comes out pretty easily. i've got a little 3d printed piece to help make it more secure but it needs a couple more tweaks before i'm ready to publish it.

Have you tried spring upgrade? I replaced mine with K26 and FPS actually went down little bit (Very tricky to replace spring). I just want to know if I am the only one experiencing this. Based on coil count and thickness of the spring, K26 should be stronger than stock and I am not sure why I am not getting performance upgrade.

Hmm, interesting, I haven't yet, Nerf is a little slower in October because of some costume traditions haha. I might try and just sneak in an extra spring in with the stock so we will see!

@@maritimefoam If memory serves, 1 of them takes 11" of K25, and at least 1 of K26, and the other one takes a section of either K25, or K26, depending on other mods. I currently only possess the Boomdozer, and k26. I don't have k25 or either one of the other blasters. But, I haven't started the KZfaq channel I promised to start.....🤔 Mr.Scott54, BionicBlasters.

Ha-za! Lol! Oh…. See this is why I don’t mod, ( only twice ) lol! ( when you pulled it apart ). Why they added the glue, I don’t think anyone will get… like the 2.0’s Good old steam. Are you going to add a stock? Overall a blaster that can fire 3 mega darts is awesome! Good job!

I do enjoy modding despite the frustrations haha. The glue seems to just be to annoy modders? I can't see it coming apart with all of those screws. The only 2.0's I have were part of a batch that I bought, and when I looked up modding them everyone recommended throwing them away after stripping out the screws and springs. You would think Nerf would have taken notice about how much people hated that... small part of their market, but I know a lot of kids who watch Drac and Out of Darts and Dr. Flux and they are going to ask their parents for other blasters, so it seems shortsighted. Whoa, went on a tangent... ha, thanks for checking it out!

I hacksawed my front barrel off, so I had to sand it down a lot. I should’ve tried boiling water like you did. Looks a lot cleaner!

Thanks! It was definitely a pain. And there was no need of it being glued, but oh well. And hey, whatever works!

@@Mothman_Studios very carefully! Jokes aside I very slowly poured boiling water over where the glued parts were, multiple times (soaking would have been better but I didn’t want to soak to many moving parts). I just kept doing this and applying a bit of pressure and slowly it became looser and separated.

@@Mothman_Studios you have to be really careful with a heat gun not to get it all too hot and warp it but it certainly could work.

Thank you, very kind of you to say. I am trying to do be more succinct and organized in my thoughts, but I love all this stuff, it's easy to go on tangents and repeat yourself in your excitement ha.
