That’s because the Avengers was originally a team dedicated to B-tier superheroes in order to give them a boost in their solo series sales. This changed in 2004 when Spider-Man and Wolverine, among others, joined the team in order to (ironically) boost the Avengers comics sales.

Yeah, also the pic of Human Torch used is Johnny Storm, not Jim Hammond. Johnny did join the Uncanny Avengers later on. The Young Avengers were also omitted, except the ones who were on other Avenger teams.

Stan didn't create Moon Knight. Contrary to popular belief, Stan didn't invent every Marvel character. He didn't create any classic 40s characters, I.E Captain America, OG Human Torch, Namor, OG Vision, OG Miss America, The Whizzer, etc. He also stopped writing after 1972, so any characters made after that, like Moon Knight, were for sure not made by him. He also co-created every character he has ever made, most of the time, his partners were Jack Kirby or Steve Ditko.
