Batman on NES holds up despite how hard it is in later levels. One of my favorite platformers ever. Love the music too.

Blaster Master. tight control with variety gameplay and not as confusing as something like metroid

Balloon Fight and Zelda 1 and 2 are all still a lot of fun. And Doctor Mario!

I think the problem with some NES games isn’t the difficulty itself as much as how punishing they can be for failing. A lot of games you have very limited tries and they make you go back and repeat stretches of the game over and over.

Kickle Cubicle is fantastic 😁 Anithet One that I would mention is Solar Jetman. It's got unique but tight controls, exploration elements, and it's challenging in a fair way. Plus it's silly as hell with a humor similar to the Space Quest series. Also I think people could still have a lot of fun with Spy Vs. Spy in 2 player mode today.

Might Final Fight is a great beat em up. Super Spy Hunter is a lot of fun...so many excellent platformers though..idk, I play a lot of nes/famicom games on the regular and If they aren’t fun I don’t play them after giving them the old college try

I still occasionally immerse myself in Metroid, love the music and play style, brings up lots memories, trying to figure things out with friends. Staying up all night, making maps , slamming junk food...

It's great to see some love for Baseball Stars. Cobra Triangle is one of my favorite NES games that I never hear discussed much.

If I had to select a couple games that were missed here, Kirby's Adventure is adorable and a fantastic game. To go along with the Lolo/Kickle Cubicle angle, I'd put up there Fire 'n Ice from Tecmo. I've been playing that for awhile on the Switch Online and it's pretty darn cute and good and hard without it being hair-pullingly frustrating.

I loved Friday the 13th as a kid, proudly spent hours to finally beat it. I'm still devestated now knowing the tricks and it can be beat in like 5 minutes lol

Tecmo Super Bowl, all 3 Super Mario games, Kirby, all the Mega Man games, Rolling Thunder, Duck Hunt, Rush 'n Attack, Super Dodge Ball, Batman: Return of the Joker, TMNT 3, Contra, Tetris, Balloon Fight, Castlevania 1 and 3, Mike Tyson's Punch-Out, ... I could go on and on.
