"Please don't go aroundharassing the actors it's very much in bad taste" Well, there's a sentiment that doesn't go both ways. That insulting video to the fans that Daniela made before the premiere did the show no favors.

A possible explanation for bebop not taking off in Japan, over HALF of the episodes were not broadcast due to the television standards for the channel it ran on at the time (tv Tokyo) they only ran episodes 2 and 3, 7 through 15, 18 and an originally created special episodes referred to as session XX. This is as opposed to the 3 episodes the American run skipped, episodes 6, 8 and 22 not sure why 6 and 8 were skipped, but 22 very clearly being skipped cause blowing up buildings was a big no-no after 9-11 (meaning since it started airing on the second of september, this would have been a very last minute decision)

The original anime has this timeless attitude about it. Watched it all this year for the first time and really enjoyed it a lot. It said what it needed to say and came and went.

I personally would have gone with the stew mix metaphor but the beef and peppers metaphor also works. I am glad that you touched on the influences of Cowboy Bebop for an adaptation because that's what they are, just influences. It was made by a creator who is influenced by his love Noir movies, Lupin, Japanese crime flicks, western movies to further his own creation. Cowboy Netflix is trying to replicate a show with no real style or flavor.

I didn't like the adaptation, but i feel bad that they cancelled it so quickly. It would have been neat to see the show improve and make a comeback, but now we'll never know.

they should have cut the marvel humor and kept it a dark neo cyber noir. get some Bladerunner vibes with a bit of levity.

While I get putting the stilted dialouge on the script, to an extent you got to put the bad acting on well the actors. It's not that I think John Cho is a bad actor, i just feel like Spike was too much of a role for him, and to be fair it's a tough role to pull off, you have to simultaneously light-hearted and goofy but also really bored and depressed, you have to seem like you don't care about anything while caring deeply. I just think it was too much for Cho who is more experienced playing movie characters you can sum up in one word. I mean Jet, Whitney, and Mad Pirouette aren't necessarily good characters but they are good performances. I don't get think the rest of the cast had the acting chops to do the same, Spike, Faye, Vicious, and Julia all seem like they were given just doomed casting

Don't like your closing. It's problem was that is had bad writing. Poorly written characters, poorly written dialogue, and poorly executed action. It's visual style was it's strength but not really a strength by comparison to a lot of sci-fi.
