Or they have been to those places and don't hear it...... I think he was pretty on point for some of the places I've been or some folks I've met from those places. NC was accurate for the middle of the state. SC was accurate enough for Charleston but not Greenville. I have no idea what language people from Alabama are speaking. Pittsburgh was off and they sound nothing like anyone from the Philly area. Wisconsin outside of Milwaukee is actually way thicker. Southern Ill is pretty accurate East St Louis is hella country; but Jefferson MO; is more midwestern and SoCal is all over the place LA and Huntington Beach are very different accents. Never been to PNW or Plains area. Met a couple from Tacoma. They sound like west coast Canadians to me.

I thought he got WV and the Carolinas spot on, but not VA (my home state) or GA. Both were too antebellum sounding for post 2000. Virginia has so many accents all by itself- my original accent was very Andy Griffith sounding because I was from SW. I think Fred was going for Richmond, which has very unique patterns like OU in "out" "about" and "house". He got Baltimore spot on though! I enjoyed his trip through the NY boroughs the best :)

We "westerners" have a weird mixture of accents that's almost not an accent. That doesn't make sense but, between towns and cities it's noticeable. Go to Springfield, Holyoke, it's between Boston, NYC, Vermont. Go to Amherst, Easthampton, Westfield, it's Vermont, Connecticut, Boston, a little vaguely southern. I've lived all over Western MA and have picked up a bit of everything. We are a melting pot of accents. The Valley seems to have held onto bits of everything.

Wow that bit from Trevor was absolutely brilliant! 😂 and of course Armisen is always funny….Im always drawn to accents and dialects and I loved how he kinda “anthropomorphised” them as a doorway into each one 🙏🏽 these Netflix are a joke videos are the best too 😜

I'm not even American, but somehow I just feel that fred's are so right, that even the ones I've never heard before I trust in him! Mo's aussie & Russian were horrible but the others were okay

And his British accent too. Tbf American's generally butcher British and Australian accents. I accidently skipped forward in the video to the part where Mo was doing the Russian accent and honestly couldn't tell what it was supposed to be. But man, Trevor's set up and impressions were brilliant.

Damn! I was excited to hear Fred's Utah accent but it cut to the next guy (who was also incredible). Utahns (me) sound so distinct but it's nearly impossible to describe or imitate well. I'll have to check out that spesh.

It's partly that we're geographically separated, partly because of the elevation and weather. I never really thought of my accent, but that's because I'm poor and spend my money on things other than travel. Also while we are growing, we're reletively small and out of the way, so we tend to get ignored, so parody and flanderization tends to happen less. But all accents change over time.

We get a masterclass in almost every single regional American accent. Then the next guy comes and does the same old tired generic British and Australian accents.
