I’ve been a nettle infusion partaker for almost 20 yrs and have a couple of pieces of advice for those just starting out. First - start with less than an ounce! Nettles vary widely in taste and strength. An ounce of strong nettles can be undrinkable, even for old hands like me! So let yourself get used to the taste and affects. Find your own sweet spot. Second - start your nettles journey on a weekend in case you need to be near the bathroom. Nettles can clear you out but good. This is a positive of course, but important to keep in mind. Last - when buying nettles, be picky about your source. Ask if they’re tested for purity. I’ve had nettles that seemed to contain mint - which might taste better but long infused mint is no bueno. Hopes this helps. Nettles are sooo good for us! (ps your hair will look amazing!)

It dehydrated me; No one educated me on the Diuretic effects. so, over the years I became more educated about the wonderful world of herbs and nutrients. I now know to add the Mallow to keep me from dehydrating. But I drink this every day as well as red clover tea. My health is changing for the better every day. Thank you for the wonderful information.

Today, I 'graduated' from your 14-part series from Herb Rally's AMAZING "The Art of Frugal Nutrition Series." I can't tell you how important this is to me, Brighid! My notes and your incredible book "Drinkable Healing Herbal Infusions" will be my road map for a new lifestyle. I look forward to investigating your podcast and other connections. But I wanted to thank you and Mason for your tireless work in teaching how to "Live Better Naturally." I feel so blessed 😊.

And little secret, for the next two weeks we're releasing some "bonus" videos if you will, where Brighid answers some of your questions. We're probably goin' to be doing more in the future too! Appreciate you ~Mason

I have been enjoying all your herbal infusions-they are so good! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and love for the herbs. I have lots of wood nettles (Laportea canadensis) around me, can we use them for infusions like the stinging nettle?

I *LOVE* this playlist, thanks so much for creating it! You did an amazing job and I am very grateful to have all this info, for free even! Kudos 😊 I am wondering if you can share any sources for the info in these vids. In particular, I am very interested to learn more about Vitamin D and hear where you got the info that both nettle and chickweed do contain it, as is asserted in vids on this playlist. I've heard countless claims that there are very few plant based sources of Vitamin D, mostly just seaweed and fungi and apparently the fungi only produce D2 exongenously, the way humans do with sunlight. Sajah Popham, founder of the School of Evolutionary Herbalism, was very skeptical about the prospect of nettle and chickweed containing vitamin D when I asked about it in one of his classes last week. I would be super appreciative to have the opportunity to provide Sajah with your source info. Also, I'm a vegetarian so this info is very important to me personally. If you could discuss the merits of and differences between D2 and D3 that would be very valuable knowledge as well ❤

Thank you for all the information. How would you compare this nettle infusion to a nettle tincture? Does one cup nettle infusion equal about 2 teaspoons of nettle tincture? Perfect timing to watch your video...I am eating an omelet with nettle, arugula, spinach and of course garlic and onion. What are your thoughts and opinions on me picking nettle all spring, summer and fall, only using the new growth tips. Cutting continuously seems to keep it from going to flower/seed. Nettle tea is part of a morning tea blend I have daily. Yes, indeed it works on my seasonal allergies. Thank you again for sharing your time and knowledge.

My nettle infusions come with a sweeter mineral flavor kinda like molasses. So I do add honey if I am feeling it. I guess it just depends on the nettle you are using.

I've come to really enjoy the mineral flavor. Kinda reminds me of milk sometimes, strangely enough. I've never tried honey but maybe I'll give it a shot! ~Mason

What happens if you dont refrigerate your infusion but drink it within 24 hrs.?? And also usually I will use 2 tablespoons when making just a cup of tea.

Did you know one can be allergic to one cat but not another. Has to do with the type of protein they produce in their saliva. 😊
