Headcannon: ASD cat DOESN'T ignore/register ADHD cat's actions. They are fully aware. They just didn't get the social cue to play/react towards them -thinking ADHD might just need attention/need to release energy. To not interrupt them, ASD cat waits. When ADHD stops, ASD happily hugs her to show "Yes. I love you too." Source: AuDHD me.

Hello Leroy, that's precisely what I intended to convey! Autistic inertia can be understood as a sensory delay. It's important to recognize that individuals with ASD are fully aware of their surroundings and what's happening. Thank you for highlighting this point!

That is very true. One of my autistic nonverbal grandsons very rarely engages with people, but once in a while, when I make kissy noises at him, he will roll his eyes and either let me kiss his head, or else he will hold out the back of his hand for me to kiss. 🤣❤️ I love him so much!

Dear Radiance, It's great to hear that you resonate with the personality of this character. Here's a fun fact: sometimes I freeze just like the other character. There are moments when someone talks to me for ten minutes, and the last two minutes seem to vanish from my memory. Then, as they look at me expectantly, I suddenly snap back to attention. I realize I need to respond, but it's like I've missed a part of the conversation. It's a bit like waking up from a daydream! I've learned to be more aware of these moments, and it's made a big difference in my interactions. ✌😺

I have Autism and I also feel the same. I'm tired of talking to my "friends" (I hate them now they're not real friends, especially my exes with "adhd") just for them to ignore me. I don't care if they're shy or dont know what to say, just saying "yeah", "okay", or changing the topic entirely is enough for me because i also change the topic randomly when i ramble for hours. :)

Hi CDara!! Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I am so happy you like the animation. You're absolutely right, the ASD cat's initial reservedness doesn't necessarily mean they don't like the ADHD cat. The key point is that the ADHD cat doesn't give up on the ASD cat, showing patience and care until earning their trust. Take good care, and sending virtual hugs your way! 😺💖

Hi Angnin, thanks for your comment! Regarding the still character, they're depicted with autistic inertia. This was very eye-opening. I have ADHD and I have a friend who has ASD. I text them as much as I can remember to, and I always feel like I'm annoying them, especially when much isn't said in the reply. However they will tell me how much they enjoy my company and talking to me. This really helped me understand the communication style we have. Thank you. Now, I'll feel less nervous about texting them. (I know them saying they enjoy my company should've been enough, but my own self hatred wouldn't let me see that.)

I have Autism and have a friend with ADHD and he does a lot of research about historical war related facts, mainly Tanks and other war vehicles. He just talks all about it when I ask something minimal like "What was the most effective Tank in WW2" and he goes into mass detail, the ammo, armor thickness, speed etc. but I am interested into this, as I just am interested into things, universally, don't care what it is, but I am always interested. The history of the lemon, interested into that. How different guns effect the human body when it hits, interested. So that is why I like to call myself "Jack of All Trades" Always interested into everything and anything.

I have ADHD too and now I can't stop thinking about if Lemon is more sour than Lime and about how they grow different and why one is green and the other is yellow.... Also why are oranges called oranges but Lemons are not called yellows or Limes called Greens? Or is tomato a fruit? Pumpkin is too right? What even is celery it's like 98% water....🤔🤔
@teddy-behr
@teddy-behr 2 ай бұрын
@@shyryTsr2k hi! An autistic here, I actually I can answer those questions: commercial limes are sold underripe. Fully ripened limes are yellow like lemons are! The color orange is named after the fruit, the fruit isn't named after the color. The fruit came first! Tomatoes and pumpkins are fruit but in cooking they're used the same as vegetables because they're savory instead of sweet. This goes for other savory fruits such as olives and avocados! Celery is a stalk of the Celery plant, a stem, which stems are the things that carry water through the plant. Hope I helped !!
@shyryTsr2k
@shyryTsr2k 2 ай бұрын
@@teddy-behr Wooooah 😲 These facts are insane especially about the lemon/lime ones because I didn't think limes were underriped lemons! And wait so Oranges were grown before the color became a color? Rainbows have been around since forever haven't they? So wouldn't early humans know about the color before the fruits? Idk wild guess haha. Also what you're saying is savory fruits are USED as vegetables but are not vegetables? Also why not eat the whole plant instead of just the stem of the plant or is that already a thing I don't know about? Sorry if I'm overstimulating your brain lol just so many questions in the universe and not enough answers...

@shyryTsr2k ugh bro I was writing a response but KZfaq deleted it so this one isn't going to be as enthusiastic bc I'm annoyed now lol sorry, but anyway You're a little confused about the lime fact, they're still different fruits, limes are just sold unripe because.. uh I don't actually know why, besides that they want it to taste unripe? But yeah they're still different fruits, both are just yellow when ripe :) "The earliest uses of the word in English refer to the fruit, and the color was later named after the fruit. Before the English-speaking world was exposed to the fruit, the color was referred to as "yellow-red" (geoluread in Old English) or "red-yellow". - Wikipedia page for the word orange So the color totally existed but they didn't start calling it after the fruit until a LOT later Also, all parts of the Celery plant are edible! People just eat the stalks because that's.. what they do? Maybe it tastes better than the leafy parts, I don't like Celery personally lol so I can't confirm or deny this

I've been diagnosed with ASD, and my mom said that the first sign that something was off about me is that I seemed to be in my own little world all the time. It was difficult getting my attention. From what I remember, the reason that it was difficult was that I was doing the exact thing you described, thinking about fandoms (or sometimes science). So that is definitely a symptom of ASD for sure.

having autism and adhd and an empathy disorder means a lot of things for me but truly what i've discovered most of all is that i will be going thru a long winded pointless story and waving my arms around all while not blinking for like three minutes straight and staring directly into someone's soul. basically like one of those fuckin blowup wind guys in front of car sales places
@PixiGags
@PixiGags 18 күн бұрын
Dear @kropotkinnie, You've described that experience vividly! I can resonate with it actually. It's funny, I've never heard about empathy disorder, but I do absorb the feelings of other people. I didn't understand at first. For example, around arrogant people, I would feel shame, and I didn't understand why. Then I was told that arrogance is a compensatory attitude for internal feelings of shame. That's when I understood that I internalized the core feelings of people, from their subconscious mind. It really drains me, I must confess. Then I have to spend time alone to regulate myself. Thank you so much for sharing. Wishing you all the best. 💖☘

I have Autism and apparently I'm very extroverted, I'm just silent when I'm not around people who talk about the things I do. I honestly doubt I'm extroverted, I'm always shy, fearing of being judged, silent, scared, and definitely wanting to stay away from people at all times unless they share an interest of mine... isn't that being introverted?
@RandomGuy0400
@RandomGuy0400 Ай бұрын
@@Someone-so4zy tbh I think treating introversion vs extroversion as a binary is kinda problematic... Like, I tend to act more extroverted around people I know and when interacting with their friend groups, but on my own, when I don't have a particular friend or shared interest to act as a sort of catalyst, I tend to be more quiet and usually avoid interacting with people unless they initiate the conversation... And I don't really hate being alone, but I don't hate being around people either... I need to have some human interaction to maintain my mental health, but at the same time, it can be draining to meet new people, try new things, and visit new places... I guess you could compare me to a capacitor in an electric circuit; I can store and output energy, but I'm not that useful without a larger power source to provide charge intermittently... I also don't like conflict and tend to try and smooth out discrepancies... Like how capacitors are sometimes used to even out an alternating power source to provide a more steady current (like in a diode bridge rectifier, for example, where a capacitor is used in combination with diodes and a resistor to convert AC power to DC power)

As someone who has ADHD, it is my understanding that for ASD folks, sometimes just existing in the same space is enough.

That's wonderful to hear LA! Talking is a bit over rated, sometimes just to be in resonance and share vibrations is good enough! :D

I just recently found out that I was diagnosed with Asbergers / Autism Spectrum Disorder as a child. Before that my parents kept it hush hush for some reason and just told me that the doctor or whatever, wanted me to go to a special school and take some funny medication. Living now with this information cleared up the one or other thing and this video is pretty much on point on how I am lol.

My family did the same thing. At family parties, everybody would always whisper about me and treat me oddly and I never knew why. I grew up and found out at like, 25. IMO It's a form of abuse and I ruined a few relationships/friendships as a result of just being unaware of my condition and getting meds/help for it too late. I am at least on a better track in life now.

This is definitely me and my husband. So perfect! Sometimes people ask how we can still be together because he loves doing so much and I enjoy calm and quiet. This is how.

Your channel is such a comfort. I'm currently not really the happiest person so nothing really helped but your channels comforting atmosphere was really doing it fo me. Thanks 💜

I'm really touched to hear that, Johnny! Providing comfort and a positive atmosphere is exactly what I aim for with my channel. I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling your best, but I'm glad my content could offer you some solace. Remember, sometimes unhappiness stems from being too identified with things other than ourselves. Take good care! 💖😺
