I've never actually heard how to tell a bad egg from a good one until its so bad it starts to smell, this is a GREAT tip thank you!! Would love to see more general tips as shorts (just general, wouldn't want Mrs. Cherri to give away her secrets ;D )

Just a friendly tip, you can always use the floating in water trick. But momma has a GREAT method!
@ShigekiHizashi8 ай бұрын
@@ImDallasGonzalesfloating isn't 100% accurate, keep that in mind, but otherwise yes this is relatively useful Bad eggs can still sink and at least twice in the 19 years I've raised chickens if had fresh eggs that stood in end

The best most reliable way to test an egg is to put it in cold water. If it sinks to the bottom its good to use if it floats chuck it out.

Growing up on a farm, we did this because some of the eggs we gathered were sometimes fertilized because the roosters were in the same coops as the hens at night.

My only is i crack fresh eggs but my hands are somewhat fumbly so i end up breaking the yolk now and again but i'll make sure if the egg does not come out fully onto my pan then i know it is bad

If eggs are white, the chickens have never seen the light of day, free range is a con. Always choose the yellow not white eggs.
@garlicsaucespill948211 ай бұрын
I’ve found zero information to confirm this is true. Sounds like fake news to me. Egg color varies primarily by the breed of chicken and diet.
@BLane-xr1ic11 ай бұрын
@@garlicsaucespill9482 Go speak to a chicken farmer in your local area if you have one...... if you even care, seems more like you just wanted to write a condescending comment. All eggs are white on the inside, the protoporphyrin is deposited as a layer on top of the calcium carbonate. Even light egg layers like silkies and leghorn have a slight tint to the white.
@Kbtoy78910 ай бұрын
That’s why one must specifically select PASTURE raised. Correct, free range is a con.
