Steve and Matt Bourie, from the American Casino Guide book, discuss eight things you should never do at a blackjack table. They explain why you should never do these eight things and, why they are bad. Topics covered include: sitting at a 6-to-5 table, playing with a continuous shuffling machine, handing your money directly to the dealer, touching the cards at a multi-deck game, touching your bet once the hand starts, giving verbal signals to the dealer, not using basic strategy, and being a jerk to other players or the dealer. I've also heard when exchanging your cash for chips, don't put the cash down in the betting circle or it may be considered a bet

Unfortunately, KZfaq won't let you edit a video once it has been released. Therefore, we have to re-release old videos because they all reference our former website, which we sold several years ago. Assuming you’re not card counting, even if you play perfect basic strategy you will loose in the long run. But you’re not playing in the long run so In order to win you must take some chances. True, basic strategy can keep you from completely stupid plays, but lucky deviations are required to win. If someone complains about your deviations just say “I was gambling”. LOL. Give yourself a chance to be lucky. I’d rather be lucky than good.

1:12 Casino advantage of 1/2 of 1% (0.5 %) if casino pays 3 to 2 on blackjack and playing basic strategy.

If I'm unsure on a hand, I have often asked the dealer "what does book say" is that ok to do?

Its not a bad idea but you would be surprised how often dealers give bad info

Just have a basic strategy card yourself ask yourself and sometimes go with what you feel or at times surrender. Last week I went $1,000 and I got a 17 dealer had a K showing I surrendered and he showed he had a 10 so 20. Then I went $500 I got a blackjack after that I went $500 again and I got a 19 dealer had 16 and he busted.

@@TheJackpotGents Why would the dealers give bad info? If you lose all your money, you're less likely to tip. I've even told dealers that I will tip a lot if I win big and they usually laugh...

They don't do it intentionally, they just don't know proper strategy/are superstitious

Sometimes 6-5 is the only option especially on the strip unless you’re a high limit player. So if that’s my only option I’m going to play because I didn’t drive 4 hours for nothing 😃

Am I always required to 'tip' the dealer. I lost over 800.00 in 10 minutes & got up and left. The dealer screamed loudly at me 'Sir, Im your dealer. Im your dealer Sir. " I usually tip when I win but I didnt know when losing I am obligated?

You are not required to tip a dealer, especially if you are a loser at their table.

I don’t understand this, if they have a 1 or 2% advantage every hand and every hand is independent, a 1 or 2% is negligible isn’t it.?

if you bet 20$ per hand and you're playing 100 hands per hour, you're losing 30$ an hour on average

The best way to explain the 6/5 3/2 payout is this way: If you get a blackjack at a 6/5 table, you'll get paid whatever you bet plus 20% of the amount of your bet. For example, if you bet 5 bucks and get a BJ you'll win 5 plus just 1 dollar, so 6 in total. Meanwhile at a 3/2 table, if you get a BJ you'll get paid the amount of your bet plus 50% of your bet. So if you bet 5 bucks you'll win 7.50 and that's why you sometimes see 50 cent coins at the table lol. So 6/5=20% of your bet and 3/2=50% of your bet. You're welcome.
