Yes I’m old fashioned but : if I was an engineer and some wise -ss kid jumped the track and scared me like that; I gotta believe I’d be very, very tempted to stop and warm their backside with the board of education applied to the seat of learning.

I love how some of the crews are aware of where these cams are and put on a horn show or wave etc.

Fun story, the train on the siding at 21:57 had their DPU die on them when they were almost at the Cascade Tunnel. They then had to back down to the siding in Skykomish to tie down and wait for a replacement DPU to come around at 15:00 later that day.

We've had 2 instances in my town where kids started crossing after a train passed only to be hit by another train that was coming on the other track. 3 young lives lost because they didn't wait for gates to go up. Now there is a crossing guard at each train crossing in our town.

I live a few blocks from the Chicago Canada CN Mainline. We get meets all the time. I never ever approach the gates until they are all the way up. Generally people here rarely jump the gates. I’ve seen a couple of instances where someone tries to beat a train and it’s pretty much always out of towners. People here see enough meets, they know to wait.

Unaware that a train was coming by from the opposite direction . A woman drove across the first rtacks to be hit and killed by the second train . Could there be something painted that shows as a sign . Since you can see it and safe to cross both tracks without being hit !? Just like when you see a train approaching . When is it safe to cross and not cross , when train sounds whistle !?
