How's your dynamic setting for the pads in performance-section? I find it difficult in live situation with dynamics, at least in hybrid setup. Maybe a separate topic what's your take on "master"/level samples for the SPD-SX? Thanks again for this and fuck cajons!

Great questions! Dynamic setting wise - It really changes depending on the setup and pad configuration. If I'm using claps, drops, snaps, etc. then my dynamic settings will be off and I'll want full velocity every time I hit the trigger. For the setup in the video, all the dynamics are 'on' for each pad, and it's just a case of practising with it! Getting used to how your SPD-SX or drum pad feels and going from there. For the master and sample levels on the SPD-SX, I open up a project in Logic (or any DAW) to see all the files together and make sure they're outputting at the same level. This is to make sure one isn't louder than the other. Then, when on the SPD-SX itself, I set the 'Master' level to about half way, that way I have wiggle room to either turn it up or turn it down depending on the gain I'm getting into the audio interface. I hope this helps!!

Thanks for this. I messaged you a few months back about updating my SPDS and thanks it worked. Been searching for information about using Rt Triggers with my SPDS sx as I have RT 30HR (SD), RT30K(Kick), RT30Hx2 (HT,FT) as you know only 2 trigger outputs . Do you know how I can use the 4 triggers ? Thanks in advance Ray

Hey again!! Great to hear from you again! That's a really nice setup and one I've used before with the SPD-SX. Nice and easy to setup, all you need is two jack cable splitters for the triggers, then you can have all 4 coming into the SPD over 2 inputs. After that, it's just a case of changing the settings to 'Trig x2' on both. Feel free to check out my video on using triggers!
