I Don't mind admitting that this story scared the hell out of me. I was listening to it on the way home from town. I live in a rural area Missouri. My house is surrounded by trees and I live on a gravel road.. I pulled up to my house and was too scared to get out of the truck. I called my daughter, waking her up, and had her turn on the outside light and send my pitbull out to walk me in.. Lol. I'm 52 years old it's been a while since a story has scared me that bad. Excellent narration and great story. My daughter told me she is going to block all horror stories from my phone. Hahahaha Thanks.😈👻☠️👺🖤

Dude same! While I do live in ruralish MO I work near STL. I am at work while listening to this. It is 2pm, I am surrounded by people, in a fairly large cities industrial district, and I am still freaked out. The skinwalkery types always get to me though. Thats what I thought of when I heard the description of it sitting by the fire... I'm not innately scared of the shadows and I'm not superstitious but skinwalker types get me bad.

@@candancecarmean770 heck yeah I'm in rural Missouri too! Closer to KCMO. This story really creeped me out as well! I wonder why the thing kept going after him even after he returned the stone? Maybe because of the sheer disrespect? Or maybe because of the firewood he took from the area as well?

Not all stones are there to mark a grave, some are placed to keep things sealed in. Robert essentially opened the gate, released what was sealed inside, and then closed the gate with them outside! He had no chance the moment he removed the lock.

That scared 😱 the living daylights out of me! I can still imagine what that would have looked like…! 99.5% of the time, scary story narrations or even scary movies don’t bother me or scare me AT ALL! @@LighthouseHorror no bother. I don't know why but it gets my back up. The guy from Ancient Aliens, George Tsukalis (hope that's how you spell it or I'm a massive hypocrite) was in Scotland, loch Ness to be precise and he must've been told how to pronounce "loch" correctly. He don't it perfectly, you have emphasis on the "ch", I can't type it, it's a noise you make when you say it but it cheered me up no end. I'm a weirdo, I know but who cares.

Going through your older videos and was pleasantly surprised to find a horror story written in my own country! It’s 190km south from myself (I had to look that up, wasn’t really sure where Milngavie was, not familiar with the greater Glasgow area), but some of the scariest things in the story for me was knowing a cyclist was willingly camping in Midge country, disturbed a cairn/cist, didn’t immediately leave, and kept staying in the same area?!? I’ve actually found Pictish stones, there was one at a church near my town, a much lesser known one, like a normal photos I logged my coordinates, took photos and emailed them to historic environment Scotland. Massively love Neolithic and Pictish history, so seeing some of that incorporated into a horror story is one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen!

Oh man, I got so happy when you mentioned Scotland, I love those type of stories, especially from the old gothic writers, I've always wanted to go there and look at the cairns and menhirs in the moors and hinterlands. My name derives from Ayrshire Scotland

Yea, I figured he wasn’t going to make it out, considering the story was in 3rd person and all.😅 But I must admit that for whatever reason the description of the dude sitting at the campfire actually made me shudder a bit😰. I think the fact that it was just sitting there staring at him the entire time was what pushed the creep factor up enough to cause a physical reaction out of me. 🤦‍♀️😳nope, not a fan of that visual my brain cooked up upon hearing that description my dude 😳! Awesome story tho😅❗️
