The Z4M Coupe is a legend. History will remember it as one of the last proper gasoline cars.

In about two years the new Z4 will be cheaper than the Z4M coupe.

Z4M Coupe owner here (one year, as opposed to 12! ...'07 Silver Grey, 65K miles, completely stock... for now ;-)... I wish I could hit like more than once on this video! Once you understand how special these cars are, they really evoke a strong sense of loyalty. But it is so good to see a good video conveying that special quality to a larger audience. Thanks for the great video, Nes (?) and thanks to Andy for such a great testimony.

The old one still looks better overall. I don't like how wide into the sides they put the headlights. I also dislike the soft top only option

I am a tad biased as I own an E85 Z4M-Roadster, but I think the E86 Z4M-Coupe still looks fresh and it's a proper drivers car, with a proper 6-Speed manual box. I love the look of the Z4 Coupe's and with the Z4M Coupe improving on that styling. I love the rear 3/4 view and it reminds me of the Rocketbunny bodykits you see on the old Nissan 240Z. So even though I own a Z4M Roadster, I still think the Z4M Coupe looks better and is actually one of the best looking BMW's in the naughties. Sadly when I was looking at cars to buy back in late November '18 , my £16,000 budget was still a few grand short for any of the Z4M Coupe's that were for sale at the time. I ended up getting a 2 owner Z4M Roadster in Carbon Black, with 96,000 miles on the clock for £10,750. It was just by sheer luck, there was a Z4M Roadster up for sale at a dealer just 17 miles away from me in Oxford. (Oxford is not a good area for trying to buy anything remotely quick.) With me being just over 6'4" tall, I actually fit in perfectly and even though I have spinal damage, I have found the driving position and seats actually manage to take pressure off my lumbar section, which has allowed me to have a social life again, after spending two years being stuck laying on my side, as being sat in a chair caused me so much pain, well until my Z4M that is. While the Z4M Coupe gets all the props for the way it drives (it actually uses the same steering rack as the E46 M3 CSL, where the roadster has the rack from the normal E46 M3), the Z4M Roadsters are in their own right, a very bloody quick car that are a massive amount of fun on UK B-Roads. Out of all the cars I've owned since getting my licence in '98, my Z4M is the car I've fallen in love with the quickest. While in the video, the owner points out his car is a bit much as a daily, I've found that Z4M Roadster is actually very easy to live with on a day to day basis. I use to average around 3000 miles a year and I've almost managed to do that since late November. What has impressed me the most about my Z4M, is just how well sorted it all feels. It's got no rattle or squeaks, which for a convertible with a fabric roof is just testament to it's build quality. My Dad's E46 M3 Individual Convertible use to make so much noise from the frame of the roof flexing and shaking. It still blows me away how easily my car is able to eat up the miles on the motorway, being very calm and controlled. As soon as you get off the Motorways and onto some proper back roads, hit the Sport button to sharpen up the throttle response and it's transformed into one of the most savage and fun cars ever. It's a real Jeckle and Hyde cars I've ever come across. I did consider getting the normal Z4 Coupe with the 3.0 straight six, which are nowhere on the same level as the M cars. All the many small changes M devision made with the Z4M's, resulted in a massive step up in speed and performance.

Awesome car. Bought a launch car in 2006 at 6 months old and about 2k miles (YF06UZJ I think) nearly bit me a few times, like living with a pet tiger I suppose, never switch off. Going to get another as I always regretted selling

Where is part 2 ?

I've probably got the one Andy turned down...2006 Z4MC in individual Ruby Black and Extended Champagne leather...mine may have a few more miles on it (163,000), but it's done less Ring laps and more motorway miles. Plus I can't get below 8m30s - but then I'm running standard power, and only Michelin Supersports.

Definitely not "twin turbo charged" - it's twin-scroll, so one turbo. For two turbos, you'd be in an M car.
