Just one note for editing, could you make the sound of the transition from car to car a bit lower as it is quite loud in comparison to your voice.

All black satin or glossy with carbon package exterior is the one to go, and as the previous gen, the M3 is the better looking one especially because of the rear stance

Great review. I was super into the dark colors but this dravit grey like shade is awesome too. RBR and Raz needs to have 10x the subscribers he has. Ridiculously good and so much better than any other major reviewers out there.

I love the seats. Reminds me of the E30 design edition interiors. I'm glad they went crazy.

A lot of people are surprized that M3 has the same face as M4... while this has been the case also for E90 and F80. For F80, maybe that was not very obvious, but for E90 getting that E92 beautiful front end, was awesome. Another funny thing, when they facelifted the E92, both E90 and E92 M3s actually kept the non facelift face. Good call. The coupe facelift ruined the front end.

Love the special effect. Being able to see different models and looks for reference is awesome.

I love how every review of this car is trying to convince me its not hideous.

I am over BMW. It is now a cruiser, not a Motorsport product. I had the 16' M3 and the rebound damping was HORRIBLE and the stability control worked against you, not with you. Moved to the SS 1LE, now that is a proper driver's car. Next up is PDK GT4 for both the performance AND the high end feel/quality.

Finally BMW is back, haven't felt so good about BMW for so long! WHAT A GOOD LOOKING MACHINE!!!

Whereas many enthusiasts have taken to bashing Porsche and others from moving to twin turbo rather than naturally aspirated, I appreciate your focus on the impressive acceleration that results. Complaints about less satisfying exhaust note are silly to me. My favorite exhaust sound is the one that accompanies the best performance. And complaining about turbo lag, with today's small, efficient turbos is equally nonsense to me. I'll gladly give up 0.3 seconds of initial response, in exchange for double the torque figures... AND it turns on from Much much lower in the RPM range. Bravo to both Porsche and BMW for developing such impressive performance, even with more EPA restrictions.

I love this car...I love the way it looks...I really want one..I was fortunate to have owned the 2002 M3 in Phoenix Gold, after owning the 1999 328i 4 door in Alpine White...became a huge fan...this car makes me as thrilled as I was back then, with BMW M products...dang..I'm going to buy a new M3 Comp...well..you know...LEASE a new M3 Comp...I have a mortgage now, I'm all grown up...and want to feel like a kid again...wheeeee..

It's refreshing to watch a review on this car that is objective and without prejudice. The lack of "clever" gafs to diss the car is refreshing in itself.

AMG fan here and I own a 204 c63, Im calling it now the new c63 will not be able to compete with this, sad times. Its now got AMG power levels, lighter weight and brings with it the even better BMW handling and now a better interior to match. Also sounds pretty good too and Im a die hard v8 fan. 4cyl tho :( RIP AMG

First off, RBR is one of my favorite channels. The best in-depth reviews, that pay homage to a vehicle's past that led to the current incarnation. Your reviews give the audience the most up close and personal experience and this BMW M3 Competition video clinched it for me. I hope to get one within six months. Did I miss the mention of the exterior color of this car? I really like the spec. I'm thinking Oxide Grey Metalic and Kyalami Orange/Black. I happen to love the new grill, a key feature that is bringing me back to BMW. Love the aggressive front. Great videos from a true enthusiast.

Raz - Love all your reviews, just when I think I pretty much know all there is about a specific car you bring up something I've never heard before, great job, also love your editing and special effects..I got the GLC 63 AMGs after watching your videos and now I'm getting on of these..

I saw today a Tanzanite blue G80 at my dealer. I had hated the front before seeing it live. Not anymore. I was very positively surprised, even the grills looked nice and made my 2016 F80 look dated. I suggest everybody gives their final verdict after seeing it live. The only thing what I am really disappointed is that they threw away the DCT and opted for a torque converter. I have driven the F90 M5 many times and it really does not work very well when trying to change manually gears up. RRB luckily said the software is better in the M3/M4 but I doubt I would still like it in a car like this. I will miss the DCT. Porsche is still using their PDK and their gearboxes just keep getting better and better.

dude it's ISLE OF MAN green not Kyalami green :D also all 4 doors are from the normal 3 series (hence why the arches stand out a LOT). Apart from that: Awesome review as always ! :)

Ya, as someone else said, color means everything on this car... I hated this car. But in this color, and in the matte black, I absolutely love it.
