I owned the 2018 CB125R Model, after having owned the YZF R125. Honestly, the difference is incomparable. The CB125R is literally by far and away the best in its class. Build quality, looks and handling are all amazing.

im looking to get the 2021 cb125r in blue at the beginning of july, how was the bike in terms of riding? was it smooth and is it worth the money, im 99.9% sure on the bike its just the top speed of 65mph that worries me on A roads ect

@@owenpinnock7159 honestly the gearbox is unrivalled. So smooth and satisfying to shift gear. The only issue I had was that sometimes it would get stuck in neutral - all you had to do was release the clutch and pull it back in again. But this was the only issue I had and apparently wasnt too common. The handlebars are really wide so its handling is great especially at slow speeds (filtering is nice and easy). The top speed I had the bike at was I think about 75. My YZF speedo said it was doing 85 but the google maps geo speedo said its true speed was 75 - truth is all 125's wont do much more than 70. Nice bike. It's always a mistake to assume it is just beginners and learners for 125. Look on the 125 forums and you'll also see a lot like me. In my 50s, full license and these days, choose smaller lighter bikes and also older guys (and girls) who are going back to biking now they have more time. More importantly for the manufactures, they can often more easily afford premium prices. But every 125 review, always talk about " if I was younger, or a learner* Most bikers tend to be older...ignore the over 40s at your peril 😀

I've just bought a brand new current model CB125. Bought without trying first, only watched YT reviews. When the bike was delivered i was really surprised in a)the size. It really doesn't look like 125's of old and feels like a big bike when sitting on it (i'm 6' 85kg) b) the fit and finish quality is excellent. Feels premium to touch. Very happy.

Me too man. Bought the 2018-on version of the CB and literally weeks later they annouced this 2021 version. Gutted! I love my bike but this one looks fantastic in the new colour schemes

Max speed of 105 kmph? The 2018 stock can get to 125kmph or something Taking that into account what would be the topspeed of the 2021 model? As torque and power has increased As well as being lighter than the yamaha mt125 Which also has the same power and 0.1 nm les torque And that topspeed is 130 kmph What do you think the top of this bike will be????

This is a serious threat to Yamaha's 2021 MT125, the CB being 15 kilos lighter, with Showa Forks, DOHC rather than SOHC, tidy exhaust design I mean it's no brainer this is far better bike. Honda finally made a beast of a 125 💪👌

I had a 2018 CB125R . I needed the full 14.7 BHP 2 years ago ! The inverted LCD was hard to read in bright sunlight. Sometimes some of the gears were a bit hard to engage, might have been me as a useless learner. Overall it was a pretty good bike. Flat out on a dual carriageway I got the speedo to say 68 MPH, but a GPS speedo was saying 64. hmmm ! I definitely think the CB125R is one of the better looking 125s. What I really wanted at the time was about 250cc and 22 BHP ! (yeah I wasn't allowed that, sigh ) All that said , I should have kept it for riding around town . I'd have been less precious with it as compared to my Triumphs.

Just fitted a tail tidy to my 2018 cbr makes massive difference to rear end .it has to be the best looking 125 around (not just mine lol) if you like the naked look. the round headlight was the seller for me any improvements will make a good bike better

Amazing bit of kit, way better looking than my old Yamaha TZR125 I learnt on lol..... My wife had just passed her CBT and pre-ordered one of these, I've got a Sportster and I'm like a kid in a sweet shop at the moment, I'm more bloody excited than she is 😂😂

If I 17 and was looking for a great looking bike to develop my skills on this looks amazing. A power play from Honda who are clearly looking at the strong entry level motorbike sales as a result of people needing to social distance and that not being really viable on Public transport. I'm guess these will sell like hot cakes!

i got a 118 kmph on a 2020 model , with leo vince exhaust and minor changes. great bike., but feels to light for motorway. If there is to much wind you wont go over 105kmph.

They failed to miss out that the 2018 model was single over head cam. The newer models are now double over head cam.

Please for once come to the American market. I love the appeal of small bikes like this, but I've never seen one I liked the look of, including the updated grom. If this came to the American market with a price less than the ktm duke 200 ($4,000 last time I checked), I'd buy it no questions asked. I've always wanted a high spec small capacity bike in the market, and for me this hits the mark.

Donut get me wrong, it’s beautiful, but there is a very niche market for this sort of bike. To compete in the 125cc market, bikes have to be affordable for new riders wanting to access a bike, right? Whilst adding all these premium features, the price makes it unaccessible for most new riders.

I had a CB125F as a learner but I tried out this 125R for a bit of fun the other day and it's really good. So much so I am tempted to get one. 125 bikes are really fun. Lost a bit of interest in the big bikes.

I have a mate who has had two with no problems whatsoever]. doesn't overheat at all [that was just some of the first model], the engine is very refined as in modern; in fact Honda have had issues with the 300 engines. I was going to buy a 300R but I'm so glad I got a 390. Blows the Honda away.

Honda knocking mfs out at 125. Best looking one, I'm not hating on any other bike. This new 2021 blue with gold forks looks wicked. The bike itself is very light even for a 125. Bulletproof engine as well.

@motobob they have 150-162cc CB series bikes for somewhat cheaper in Asia yet US/EU gets exact same bikes but 125cc only. Whats the deal here? Like the R125/MT125 here in the UK is R15/MT15 (155cc) South Asia. Which are faster, has more power, more torque and still cheaper. WTF?

@@cripticdestiny you can think as much as you wan’t but thats the main reason, the difference of production costs is minimal between cb125r and cb150r.

@@Shabbe02 if taxes were the only reason, then UK wouldn't get bikes like CRF150r or similar sized scooters. US gets 150cc vehicles too just not street bikes.

@@cripticdestiny so what? The us does not have the benefits of a 125 that europe does. Don’t know where you are from but in europé people can ride 125s maxium 15 hp at age 16 or higher depends on the contury. Otherwise they would probably just import the 150s but there is no reason when looking at the laws now since you can ride much more powerful bikes by age 18.

Please cover more of these small engine bikes! Between 100cc & 250cc. These days there are some phenominal bikes coming out. Look at the new kawasaki 250, its 50 horsepower 😳
