In 2019 Taurus came out with a brand new 22 polymer pistol. it quickly became one of the most popular 22 polymer handguns produced and is known for its reliability. Now 5 years later, they've made huge improvements and introduced their new Gen 2 version. But the best part, it's still comes in under $300 just like the original.

Ligthning cut, optics cut, threaded bull barrel. 22 round capacity. 4 spare mags. Glock sight compatibility. 2019 handgun of the year. Fairly good aftermarket support. Multiple colors. For under 300 dollars. Easy buy for me

I just picked mine up from my FFL earlier this week but had no idea they had a Gen 2 coming out! Oh well, I’m sure I’ll still run the snot out of this one. Great video amigo.

I like the Sig P322 but the Taurus TX22 is just way more reliable. Actually, beyond reliable for a 22lr!

I've had mine about the same time you did i was a little weary that it was junk noing the taurus name but i was impressed with a true striker fire 22lr high capacity magazines witch i upgraded put and apex trigger in it lost count on how much ammo i put thrue it and the few failures where definitely ammo suppresses well i have 4 other 22lr and the tx22 is in my range bag permenantly love this pistol.

I have one on the way, kept putting off getting a competition version. No hesitation jumping on this version. Glad glad it hums along with the optic on it, I wondered about that. Another of the attractions for me is Glock compatible sights. Looking forward to it.

Great review, I now have one heading to my local FFL. And added a 504 dot to my order to pair to it. I been running the TX22 competition model for last 6 months or so and its been great. Although its a little more ammo picky then yours. Current round count on it is between 12 and 13K.. Upgraded the trigger and have had to replace recoil spring twice otherwise shes a beast. I been eyeballin the compact and almost pulled the trigger on one last week. Glad I waited. Again. thanks for the review. Keep em coming!

UPDATE: The Gen 2 is so Epic! Im currently between 4 and 5 thousand rounds through this new GEN 2 and its been FLAWLESS!! Literally its run every ammo without fail. Aguila, Blazer, CCI. Not one Fail To Feed or any of the issues I had with the competition at first.. Which speaks both to the reliability of the TX22 as well as the ammo producers.. Its amazing.. To sum it up. If your looking for a reliable 22lr handgun that is a blast to shoot... Look no further. This IS the one!

Love the compact slide look with the full size frame...love the new one piece barrel with a reverse crown...Still not a fan of the slide mounted optics.

The ruger SR22 i have has given me failures almost every single mag, i think its time to trade for a TX22. The only 22 handgun that was 100% was the S&W 22 compact for me but ive been wanting the TX22 for a few years now.

Why are you wearing your walker ear muffs facing the wrong direction? Maybe I am wrong but I believe the microphones are supposed to face forward. I have the walkie talkie on my walker razor pro and they can only be on the left ear, that puts the microphone facing forward. I really like your videos and I think you do a great job. Thanks.

They are the correct way, otherwise the writing and flag would be backwards. Maybe the video makes it looks wrong. 🤷

Running the cheap Federal Auto mag (brown box) and it's flawless. The only negative thing to say is my Gen 2 came with 2 of the 10 round mags.

I tried fitting mine in a Trex G19 holster & it was a no go. It fit best in my Tier1 Canik Rival holster but still not perfect.

If you cant afford cci .22 ammo, you probably shouldn't be buying a .22 pistol and saving money lol .22 pistols are just for fun. They shouldn't be a priority like a carry gun.
