Today I show you my new 36" Toro Grandstand. I also vent a little about my rough day. Normal day to day business owner stuff.

Took measurements on The Lawns I'm going to use my 36in on heart believe that there's a gate that those 36-in more cannot get through guess you'll have to use a push mower

Does the motor still move with the deck on the 36”

What do you do with garden service?
@LawnThumbs6 жыл бұрын
Scott Oswald We weed and fertilize flowers and bushes. We rotate those services every other week. We also clean gardens and prune shrubs.
@scotto81996 жыл бұрын
In your area what are people willing to pay for this type of service per month. We are averaging $75 per month for weed pulling on a bi weekly service.
@LawnThumbs6 жыл бұрын
Scott Oswald We offer a discount if they sign up to weekly garden visits. So that is $50. a month. But that is my favorite, because while my garden specialist is their they walk the property and if anything is needed they send the customer an estimate. And that’s where we make our money. Currently we have 25% of our weekly mow customers on that service.

how did you lift the mower like that lol...
@LawnThumbs6 жыл бұрын
Scott Oswald The 36” can be lifted by 1 man. The 48” cannot. Haha

20 houses with one man crews? thats impressive, how big are these homes?
@LawnThumbs6 жыл бұрын
Emily Burcham So to be clear we didn’t do 20, but they said if they had 36” they could have or gotten close. And this year I’m running a 2 man crew until I hire or train experience people. Average size is about 4-5k sq ft.
@42swissmocha6 жыл бұрын
I got ya. Nothing beats the time efficacy of the one man crew, usually I can get 12 a day from one guy and 20 or so from two guys. Of course if you run one man crews and they get sick or quit you can be in trouble. I personally run DNA crews of one man and two men and they meet up on the larger properties and the one man does the smaller properties by himself.
@LawnThumbs6 жыл бұрын
Emily Burcham I firmly believe in one man crews too. Because of the smaller number for outs of somebody does Carlos you can just split it up with the others on that day. But there’s no fighting no drama just trying to get done with nobody in their way.

Looks like you have some really good equipment, stay on top of the preventive maintenance. Keep the power rake.. and instead of selling the 44, can't you just purchase a smaller deck, can't tell if the axle is as wide as the deck.? I know it's hard rowing the boat, steering the boat, but hang in there, you'll come across another "Rockstar".. I've been there.
@LawnThumbs6 жыл бұрын
Albie Craig I appreciate that thanks. I did already sell the Power Raker for $300 since it would have cost over $300 to get it fixed. And I already approved the dealer to sell the Toro. But yes preventative maintenance is a must!

Cory K You should be happy with it. Since this video I’ve put a bagging system on it. And it works much better that way than mulching.
