I moved into my new apartment 2 months ago, and after decorating my living room and bathroom, now it’s time for my kitchen styling!
In this video, I’m taking you along with me as I shop for new kitchen decor in an adorable local interior decor store in my hometown of Snoqualmie, WA (hey fellow Twin Peaks fans!). Then I bring you with me as I decorate my kitchen with the new pretty things I got. 🥰

The main thing I think of when styling my kitchen is how can I meld form and function in my small workable space. I display cookbooks, found vintage appliances that I love, and of couse the little extras like your display. I love what you did here and I can't wait to set up my own kitchen again.

Does anyone else yell recommendations at their tv while watching? 😂 Also, i mentioned this in your tour video but i think changing the cabinet handles for the same ones but in black would be the chef's kiss. It would enhance the black accents of the appliances and just give the cabinets a little pop.

Suggestion what about cookbooks (like from an thrift shop) that looks really used? i think that would look nice in that space on the counter

Steffi @ModaMisfit, I thought the same but more like witchy cookbooks and maybe a couple, rugged looking leather bound or hand made paper journal for your handwritten recipes or clippings of recipes like a "junk journal" style perhaps with a motar and pestle? One tall skinny bottle of cooking oil or sugar for tea, hand soap, whatever, then book then mortar and pestle? Could be witchy cute 😊

I love your new vibe! It feels like your creativity is flowing again ! You asked for ideas: How about more food related decor? Like a vintage apothecary looking spice rack? Layer up some cool looking cutting boards? Cool bottles for cooking oils? I have a jar full of vintage wooden spoons/utensils that makes me so happy to think of the history. Maybe some culinary plants like sage, basil, rosemary etc. instead of all of the dried flowers. I am thinking more functional decor but still keeping with your beautiful vibe. I love how you take viewers through the actual process of placing items! Cant wait to see more and more of your mum ! Blessings !

I love Version 1, and it's a thrill to think an expert decorator has to move things around over and over! I feel vindicated! I couldn't figure out why you put a decor item on the rug, and then I realized it was Kilo!! So cute!

I would add a small framed painting or print or even photo... you could hang it on tile wall or use a mini easel, etc... or a little art or photo printed on canvas.. do you have a beautiful photo of a place you love? you could bring in black and white touches thru artwork or a pretty dish or even a single black and white decorative tile (and you could even add black and white handle pulls) or stick with beiges or pick a pop of color like yellow or orange. Hi Steffi, i hope i gave you some ideas for your kitchen decor.. i have seen small lamps in kitchens but u have nice under cabinet lighting..

nice, very simple result and very simple shopping process. 🌼 my mother was a narcissist and wouldn't let me have my own taste, so now i absolutely love shopping and styling myself. i traded her in to celebrate my own freedom, opinion and style. if i was to add anything from here, i would incorporate more colour 🌈

The brass/gold ish circular pan would look cute where you had it but maybe leaning against the wall/backsplash? The color would look great and tie in with your tray too. Love your home and the progress ❤

I think I might have tried to style the dried babys breath in the little gold pot. Spiral patterns and then seen if I could find small art that matches the cutting board.

I really love it! Your styling always inspires me to tiptoe out of my Neutrals only zone lol. As I was watching though, I was wondering maybe you could try an art piece or framed print there? You already have a good amount of florals so maybe something a little different that shows more of your personality? Just a suggestion. I look forward to your next upload and wish you the best in all of your endeavors. 😌

you being from the twin peaks city is so on brand for you i love that! looks like the kitchen is going to be hilo's favorite space in the place giving you chibi eyes from the cute rug. you + your mom look a lot alike; mother misfit has good taste + passed it along to you!

Lovely! Could you move the paper towel holder and place a round or square holder for some teakwood Spoons, spatulas, etc.?

I think it looks lovely - I love how you’ve arranged your decor (and, wow! - that store! - such beautiful things). But, ideally, I would like to see the kitchen towel holder a couple inches away from the cooker. Also, please straighten up the towels hanging on the cooker door (that’s my OCD showing). In fact, get new towels altogether, those don’t match the kitchen. I would suggest black and white patterned ones, to tie in with the rest of the apartment. I feel inspired now to have a go at restyling my own kitchen decor.

I love your canisters. They give me good inspiration for use in my kitchen. The only thing I would add to yours is a canister with baking tools in it. I appreciate your decor because I learned that the decor can be dark but still be stylish ❤

I enjoy your videos although I am missing the witchy vibes and am not into the seventies. I prefer my kitchen counter to be empty as it it easier to cook and clean, but yours does look better, I guess.

Your style now compared to your studio has definitely changed a bit. I am with the other person who commented on the pillows in your living room being too "matchy'' with the artwork. I think the colors and patterns aren't my style though. lol I was super curious to see what you were going to do with your kitchen. It didn't look as modern as the rest of your apartment. Wasn't too sure about the cabinets. You made your kitchen look soooooo nice! You got the colors just right. This is by far my favorite video. It truly is a talent. When you were changing the floral arraignments from here to there you def had my attention. Your kitchen looks so cozy. I love the lighting underneath the cabinets too. So far I love your kitchen the best and your view overlooking the city of course.

Beautiful pieces, but too much, in my opinion. I would’ve moved the tray a little behind the new large pot and then placed the smallest wooden vase next to the big pot and called it a day.

I so enjoy you and your channel. After a few weeks of seeing it, I kindly give my perspective that the pillows in your living room are too much with the very similar artwork in the background. I find it hard to look at the screen, therefor you, when you show this shot as it feels too intense for me. I do like your art and pillows separately from each other. I say this with no bashing or insult intended.

Sorry, no big deal. That gorgeous store and everything you bought is beige and you could have gotten everything at Target or your local market. All those beautiful color rugs and you pick beige.....UGH! Anyone can do this.....boring. It didn't take much thought! Call Martha Stewart....put beautiful food items out and some unique thrift shop dishes. This is kitchen Is boring.....but hey....it's yours! Add color!!!!
