4:26 I beg to differ. In Ghost of Tsushima, if you slaughter (assassinate) a Mongol leader out of another NPC line of sight, it does not alert the whole camp. Stealth in Ghost of Tsushima does not break any new ground, but it is consistent.

@@ColombianKing1478 Yeah that’s what I understood. My only complaint is Jorraptor saying something that is not true about the Slaughter ability in Ghost of Tsushima. For Shadows, we’ll see how Brutal assassinations work. I’m a stealth player: reaching my target unnoticed is a first step to victory, killing him is the second step, keeping it stealthy is the end point. If brutal assassinations break all my efforts to keep a stealthy gameplay, don’t think I will use this feature that much. Rather go loud all the way when I play Yasuke.

@@agnsvaping1591 not really, all of ghost stealth is Ac stuff but well programmed, wind chime/fire cracker, chain assassinations, smoke bomb, knives, climbing/ some parkour , of course these are very basic but they are a staple of Ac , on that aspect they are very similar that’s why he compared the both of em

Having to divert your travel hundreds of miles instead of just going over the mountain isn't a good thing. I'd rather be able to continue climbing over everything than have limitations. If you're talking for realism sake then you should be losing health if you don't eat. You shouldn't be able to sprint more than 10 seconds at a time. You should be required to sleep at night etc. Climbing everything isn't an issue

I really like the destructible environments, one of my gripes with odyssey was how dumb the physics could look when spartan kicking someone into something, everything just felt floaty whereas this looks more grounded with hits that look like they actually deliver an impact

I understand a lot of the lack of stealth options for Yasuke, but making it next to impossible (at least how it sounds here) for him to do stealth is kinda lame. H e should definitely struggle with it, but he should be able to pull it off. Even making the female character be a bit of a mentor to him in such things. I mean they’re working together as assassin’s and while she seems to already be one, she could be showing him the other side of combat.

Eivor was one character. The gender options were purely cosmetic. Here they are completely different characters. One goes through walls, the other goes over the walls. It would be incredibly silly if a seven foot giant who staggers enemies by stomping his foot also climbs rooftops.

It's obvious now that the 2 character idea is Ubisoft's attempt to get the more classic game play style with Naoe, but keep the RPG style play with Yasuke both in the same game. I think this is smart if they give each style enough attention but I bet one or the other will be watered down and hopefully not both.

Why would Ubisoft make such a scaled map and then say you can't climb this? Like you made the setting that Everyone has been asking for and now we can't use the bird for aerial shots. We have mountains built to scale but can't climb them for scouting the area. We're assassins but don't get to look and feel like the assassins from the OG games that started everything. All you had to do was build on what was accomplished in AC Mirage going back to the roots a bit. Making the open world still have black box missions that cover more ground. I can only hope that this is not as restricted as it sounds right now because I can already tell Yasuke doesn't have the gameplay that fits Assassin's Creed.

Do you guys remember R6 Vegas 2 where we could (somehow, eventually) scan our faces into our avatar? What do you think of THAT as an AC idea? "Become the assassin..." That would shift the focus back to Abstergo and open up an entirely new dynamic to the entire series.

7:11 it seems like there going more physics based and more realistic while I appreciate this and will enjoy the parkour(as long as they don’t put white or blue paint everywhere like in farcry) I hope Naoe can still climb like unity where they can climb Any build as long as there is a foot hold to start the climb other wise Arno climb up a bit then wall ejects I hope this isn’t the case for Naoe I hope she’s less limited in the cities and forest allowing you to freely climb any tree and building while limiting your climbing to foot hold when it comes to mountains, or maybe have it be limited until you get the actual ninja tools called climbing claws or other wise known as Shuko as they can stick to realism while still making the game fun and allowing you to climb everything as long as you unlocked the Shuko, now the mountains could be a collectible challenge type deal where you have to find a creative way to get up in the shortest time possible to unlock something, I think incorporating Shuko would be a amazing historically accurate, physics based and cool way more to make the limitations of parkour in the beginning of the game less and allow you to get to places you could not previously

Honestly this is sounding perfectly accurate historically. It would not make sense for Yasuke to go around killing people in stealth. I feel like his stealth will be used for gaining information to pass on to naou. Considering he can be in restricted areas due to his status, and I really don't mind the no social stealth either. I love that you can freely walk around without guards attacking you for no reason. Way more realistic and immersive

From what I’ve heard, it sounds like you can do main missions in any order you want, similar to mirage, and the seasons change based on how many you have done. I’m not sure though, and I could be wrong.

I think this is just like AC Valhalla split into two separate characters because once evior triggers the guards in the camp it’s full on combat with all kinds of abilities just like Yasuke and if evior wants to sneak around he/she can assasinate everyone without any warning just like Naoe. So now it’s just more realistic and makes more sense because they are different characters wearing different gear for different play styles that would impact their stealth abilities. Evior sneaking around in full knight armor looks cool but makes no sense for sure

Yasuke being so ill equipped for stealth & parkour only reinforces our confusion and question over why he is such a major playable protagonist to begin with. A lot of fans have already shouted loud enough that they want an "Assassin" protagonist for AC Shadows. We do get that of course... but with the catch of having a loud & proud Samurai as an obligatory 2nd protagonist, because Ubisoft didn't want to fully commit hard to a Stealth primary & combat secondary approach. They're still playing it safe by having 2 protagonists. One being a Shinobi where they can improve on the stealth from Mirage, and the other being a Samurai so they can always have a fall back option for those who preferred the more combat oriented experience of Valhalla.

I won't worry too much about Yasuke not being able to wear a hood, I'm sure there will be about 30 grand worth of random paid DLC added, from Ezio to RuPaul, to Darth Vader. This is one of the things I don't understand about people being "outraged" by this game "not being historically accurate. It's like bruh, this is UBISOFT. There weren't exactly Dragons or steampunk lions running around England during the Viking raids either.

I'm looking forward to this game for sure. Idc about the black samurai do I think they did it on purpose for sure and it's ridiculous. But he was real and I knew about him long before this game. Firstly, removing the social stealth 'completely' is the single worst decision ever for an AC that is set in 15-16th century. I get it, Yasuke can't blend in for the obvious reason that he is a foreigner. But, can't he wear masks? Like wasit impossible for Ubisoft to make wearing masks a mechanic? Also it absolutely makes zero sense for Naoi to be fully invisible in the world. Every protagonist in previous games was native to the land of that game (almost every game) and could blend in the crowd yet somehow this is not a thing for Shadows... wow! Secondly, the AI looks exactly like the previous games. Yasuke is murdering guards and his target 20 meters away is unable to see him? What is next gen about this game truly? I am disappointed Jor, I'm truly disappointed. However, thanks for the video. Awesome content as usual.

Wait a minute, if you can’t even stealth kill anyone whilst playing as Yasuke, like if he shouts behind them to get them to turn around. Then what’s the point in playing as him. I think his playthrough, having only combat as an option will get old pretty quick. The point of playing an assassin’s Creed game is that you wanna take the stealth route, or at least the fast action stealth, similar to splinter cell panther style. I mean, if Yasuke only option is to play the entire game like a beat them up, with very little option for anything else, I just think that’s just gonna be boring.

I been hearing a lot complaints from people about how AC Shadows looks very similar to valhalla and Im like "bruh it don't look bad at all and what do you want it to look like then" and I haven't heard no one talk about what it needs to look like and if the devs don't change it then its because it doesn't matter.

I'm out if so. I don't want to play stealth, but that doesn't mean I want to forgoe fucking parkour in an AC game. Syndicate/Odyssey team shouldn't be let anywhere near this franchise again.

In Japan Sengoku social hierarchy,can advantage against enemies like Yasuke use it against enemy from commoner class to Samurai class while Naoe can use against enemies from Daimyo class to Emperor class but in shadow

What’s kind of dumb though is this is such a gimmic play don’t get me wrong the lore of yaosuke is dope but in real life he was never an actual samurai he may have seen battle alongside one but he was a samurai servant, essentially a slave, though he did follow Japanese tradition and culture he was never a samurai, however I wouldn’t be surprised whatever samurai he served needed his help and helped cut some mf down just never with title of samurai
