Why can't we just have a fully fledged Arkham Origins sequel?

Upset it’s VR but glad it’s an actual Batman game. Hopefully they respect the character though

while I've been wanting sequels to Arkham Origins (to fill in the gaps between Origins and Asylum) for many years now, this is not what I had in mind.

Can't play it, not even fond of VR games in general, but the fact that SSKTJL is not the last arkham related game (in terms of release) Is already a massive win in the game's favor to me alone.

I have a quest 3. I for one am very excited to play this. Iron man game was very fun and also with the story was great too

I’m hoping it’s a sequel to origins I just wished it was not in vr and was released on ps5 as a direct sequel to origins and set before asylum with a really good story

The quest line of VR devices are by far the most popular systems. Quest has sold more than Xbox this generation (>25mil) psvr2 (>500k) and all pcvr (>3mil active users on steam, 50% of which are quest).

I don't really have a spefic feeling about VR but I do think we should give it a chance

Hopefully this will lead into a proper Arkham Origins sequel I’ve come to really love Origins over the years and Roger Craig Smith absolutely killed it as a young Batman

Quest 3 is pretty awesome and VR has come a long way with a lot of comfort features that might make the entire experience easier for you, you should definitely try to talk your better half into trying it. The Quest 3 Lite will probably come out right before this game and Meta MIGHT use the game as a buying incentive for the headset (when you bought the Quest 3, you got Asgard's Wrath 2, a $60 value, for free). They haven't announced doing it but, it'd be a smart move on their part.

I hope it is good! Always wanted a ratcatcher in the arkham verse and if Vr is the way to get him in there then I am fine with that. Wish They made the game more accessible and easy to get then spending 500 dollars or more than buying the game for it too. But hey Nothing can be as bad as suicide squad lol

Honestly I don’t see why everyone is upset about this. I mean, maybe they do have more in the future but it isn’t ready yet, so they can get the Arkham series back into the public, they are putting this out so it give whatever else more time to cook🤷🏾‍♂️

It’s time to move on from Arkham and reboot with a new Batman video game franchise that builds on the great gameplay of Arkham.

I really hope its going to be a full game and not just a demo like the previous Arkham Vr. I will defininitely give it a chance (luckely I just got a Quest3). I just don't understand why they will make it an exclusive Quest title. my guess would be that they want to include a mixed-reality mode/scene/? and the Quest 3(/2) is kinda the only headset rn that can actually handel that

Man took em long enough I thought they should make an origins sequel since I first played it. Also I’m not a fan that it is VR only because I don’t like the change in medium that you have four games on console and one on VR. So what I think they should do is make an Arkham VR box set including a remaster of origins. I think it would be very cool to play the other four games in VR detective vision, scary atmospheres, standing in the rain

Why not a origins Remaster with the Knightfall costume and Batman 1966 costume included that would be awesome

SAO is a full dive(meaning it connects to your brain and your brain controls everything) VR is no different then a 3D stereoscopic game that the camera movement is fixed to the display. As for your motion sickness it either goes away after you get use to it, or if the refresh rate is high enough(90hz or higher) it's no longer a problem. As for the Price a console is $399 to $599 so not really a difference. Bonus is the VR headset also includes a screen as well.

SAO was based on Dot//Hack's VR system which had a neural interface, so unless we have to plug our brains into it, VR will (hopefully) not leave us comatose if we lose in a game. Regarding the Arkham reveal, though, it'd be cool if they throw in easter eggs about other villains and this ends up being part of a campaign to build up hype for a new series of games set in the Origins timeline. Suicide Squad has proven to be a PR nightmare, so in an ideal world, WB gives the series to a new team, and they pivot to a totally new series. One can hope, anyway.

I play VR on my quest two and I really like the Iron Man VR game so now I’m excited to see what the game is about. See what happens with it.

I belive ratcatcher is dead by city so this definitely takes place pre city, this could be the event that gets him arested for his break out in asylum, making roger craig smith the most likely candidate for the voice.

Don't do it for just one game (buying a Quest). Do it for also all the other games! It's absolutely worth it - tons of fun. (Not to forget the glorious PC-via-Wifi games, like HL:Alyx.) VR game capturing is quite simple and fun to watch as well. Btw., with "new details", did you mean the retweet?

Troy baker would be a good Batman, yes ik he plays robin and Arkham knight, and joker in ao, but he also played Batman in lego Batman 2, and did a phenomenal job

I love VR but batman worries me... it will either be extremely limited (like batman vr 1) or it could be nausea inducing for most players (like windlands, and the spiderman VR demo) I would prefer the more active movement but that would be a huge issue for most people (but punching goons as batman would be really cool)

After using VR for a while, you won't have headaches or get nauseous. Took me months And a Quest 3 is cheaper than modern consoles and cellphones

Rocksteady had Harley Quinn kill Batman at the end of the Arkhamverse. No point doing a prequel spjnoff when we know how it already ends for him.

Not planning on getting a Quest 3, but it's for the same reason why I wouldn't get a Xbox for the longest time - I'm not going to buy a $300-$500 game console, just to play a handful of games, let alone _for a single game._

If your hating on vr you either can’t handle it or haven’t actually experienced it. Playing games like resident evil, battle talent and Ironman really show what vr can do. The fact knightwing can’t even play vr is why you shouldn’t be down playing this new Arkham game. This is HUGE for gaming as a whole and exactly what vr needs to show it’s the best way to game period. The quest is worth the money for what your getting.

Issue is the exclusivity to the Quest 3 is really gonna limit its sales. We all know what WB will do if it doesn’t sell enough.

Yes I do have a comment on this Batman game and also the others as well my comments are that the Batman franchise was always good but the thing is when Rock steady came in and brought in Batman in the way that it was one of the most popular games of our generation but there is a problem with all the Batman Arkham games and I see this with a lot of people on KZfaq that loves these games but I love these games as well ever since I played Batman vengeance Batman begins and also Batman rise of Sun Tzu but the I know everybody has their own opinions to these games but one thing that still bothers me still today why is everybody saying that the Batman Arkham games are the same universe when a few years back everybody was saying that they were all different universes except Batman Arkham origins now talking about Arkham origins I know the Rock steady did not have any control of that game but the thing is WB Montreal should have never forgot about that game and yet they move forward to a Batman Arkham knights game and yet they were talking about remastering it and yet it never happen and so yet why is it that WB wants to make other Batman Arkham games and not different Batman game I mean Batman Arkham origins I love still today because there was a lot of good things about it only thing that went wrong was that you cannot play different costumes so if anybody could tell me why WB and rocksteady are still making these Arkham games please write back to me or comment to my message thank you and a good

Personally it's cool VR fans got another Batman VR game but to me I am disappointed it is one especially making it exclusive to the Meta Quest 3. And even though VR is cool but I am not paying $500 to get one plus $70 to get the game as well. Also the James Gunn ordeal maybe I mean he could be only talking about this game or he was talking about multiple Arkham games in the future. I would wait and see what happens.
