Hi, Thanks for the video. my son and I are new to MTB. Where on trail forks is groovy funky? Is it where it reads Green XC Loop/Orange XC loop? Trying to get out there end of month!

I believe that is it. From the parking lot at the Grapefruit trails you can’t mis it. You can slip onto the trail from the parking area itself. Then Take the entire loop. Let me know if I can help with anything else 😃

@@kfivemtb I made it out to GFT on my own earlier this month, teamed up with a few guys that towed me in and had a complete blast once the rain passed. I stayed on the sidelines while some went through the jump line and a couple of other features I wouldn’t dare to try at my age😊 but got through the rest with minimal damage to my shins! I just wanted to come back and thank you both!🙏🏼

Looks like fun, I don’t think my cardio is there for something like that just yet, lol. Thanks for the vids of the different trails, you have both motivated and inspired me to get out there more often.

Nice job man, this is where I ride the most being 20 minutes away from the house. I love Santos as well but there's something special about GFT its just a lot of fun. Instead of having dozens of miles of trails we have features everywhere in a smaller area. I would say the new section is a decent blue trail as its not completely green with the few hills, hammocks, and roots. This is the best video Ive seen on this section, thanks for taking the time to make it for us.

My favorite combo is 2.4 aggressor rear and 2.6 DHR in front. Maxxis 🤙

Hey Kfive! I’m new to your channel, new to mtbing and love your vids! I live on the east coast central fl and we also go to Pisgah. Have you ever rode Snowhill in Geneva fl? It’s good for all skill level riders. Including newbs like us. Lol What trail do you suggest in Pisgah near Brevard to ride for beginners?

Stay out of Pisgah in general. It’s not easy!!! Most of DuPont State forest is great for beginners and has amazing waterfalls!😃

@@kfivemtb ok good to know...my wife has a hard time with trails close to cliffs, she actually went off one and took a 10ft dirt nap! She was ok just pissed and cut up. So glad no broken bones. That Ridge Line looks doable for her and we love those water falls!! Thanks again for the info! Btw excellent jumping skills! Woohoo!!

@@kfivemtb I have a question...do you lock out your suspension when you climb? Does that help with traction?

@@greg4fiddy on long non-technical climbs only. It’s not really a traction thing, it much better pedal efficiency! No sage from the rear shock. If it’s a short technical climb. Leave suspension open, actually better traction. If you lock out on longer climbs, don’t forgot re-open for the downhill! 😜
