I fucking love Uncle Lynn! I filmed some of my blades recently due to boredom when we are locked down for 70 days and the end result is heavy with Cold Steel blades. In this PC/snowflake/SJW culture, that *generation Z* seems to go to like ducks to water ... it is effecting a lot of companies and how they present their products. But not good old reliable Cold Steel! It is for stabbing shit ... you could hit bone with this tip and have no problems! I am just sad that the days of the (Hattori made) Japanese san mai III VG1 are over as they were some classy blades. Some of mine ... Joe Perry I want to dislike the company, cheep imports and such, but the man clearly has a love for what he does and thinks about it in a very lucid and interested manner. I might get one some day but I struggle with paying the prices he asks for something mass produced in Japan and India.

I love Lynn. His hawks etc are exactly what you would have got from the Hudson Bay company except with modern steel and manufacturing. His company makes such weird but cool designs. I remember reading and thinking about that part of the Bible because I am the same kind of weirdo. I wish him all the success and there isn't anyone I would be happier to see get it.

11min I have made these historically accurate medieval mele weapons so if you in a reenactment society or if someone breaks into your house at night and you have to bury this into the fucking occipital plate of his cranium. Here is how Cold Steel promotes this product ... Weeping Heart Hawk VS Cow Skull kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pZaSnLCjmLitoGg.html That wound cavity is unsurvivable *Lynn C Thompson* I love the fact that Lynn will make weapons and not care if you are offended. With so many little princesses in the community these days chanting their mantra "my knife is a tool and not a weapon." We need uncle Lynn to keep these fuck-tards in check! What were we doing for 1000s' of years before the invention of gunpowder? *K* ... thank you!

The second knife reminds me of my schrade needle. Which reminds me of a Fairbarn Sykes dagger. Which is why I bought it. Super cool design. Love it. Hope to see some serrations on the next cold steel versions of that dagger. People seem to forget that in the heat of combat, an attacker might not even notice he's been stabbed until the adrenaline dies off. A few serrations will add a bite to your dagger that can really let someone know they've been stabbed and force them to back off.

My favourite knife is the Cold Steel Espada large. If you wear a fixed blade its visible and some people think bad of you because you wear it but the espada large folding knife actually fits perfectly in my pocket and comes out in 1 second with a long blade and the reach of a smaller fixed blade (around 5.5 inch blade). If it would be bigger it wouldnt fit in the pocket. Especially I like the steel, lock and shape of the knive. It has a shape like a spanish navaja bandolera but it has a better lock is lighter and runs better steel like these historic first folders.

He uses cheaper material to keep the prices down, especially in the grips (although you can buy most of them with premium steel if you want). Also, the locks are so stiff, they aren't fun to fidget with. I've been using one at work every day for 2 years now. They are just built like a tank.

@@lonewanderer3603 I hear ya! I think my AK-47 worried me because it was so stiff at first. Oh, the Immortal, too... I guess a lot of them have been, but I fidget a lot so I guess it works for me =o) I LOVE my Cold Steel knives! The Colossus 2... such fun designs. I have more of them than any other brand, and along with a couple of Spydies they're my favorites to fidget with. Part of it is the size and heft and how they fit in my hands. And I fortunately got good deals on them =o) My brother, not so much - he's a Benchmade boy. I tease him that when he grows up he'll be able to handle a Cold Steel ;-) But really, isn't it great there are so many companies to fit the wants and needs of us all?

Drop forged butterfly knife, anyone? I'd love to see that happen. Three drop forged pieces, machined and riveted together to form a butterfly knife. Could possibly compete with benchmade, price and sturdiness speaking.

Awesome knives axes and all. Love ur designs. The one thing that I see could be improved are the handles for the axes. Hickory is a great wood but the design/shape could be better. A wider pummel for instance is a simple yet great improvement that will be very appreciated for ppl felling trees/survival purposes.

Easy fix, paracord wrap, the rest of us don't mind and actually don't like flares at the end of our handles, it just gets in the way

Love yea lynn. You sir, are the man. A real roll model. Thank u for everything you do, I absolutely adore your products. I recently ordered some, what was advertised as, cold steel knives on wish, which turned out to be fake, counterfeit pieces of crap, and I chewed those people a new asshole. They didn't even apologize, and said they refunded my money, but I never got it back. Talk about being pissed off. I was irate. I'll never order from those crooks again. How can they advertise as cold steel,?? When it's just a blatant forgery?? I want cold steel blades because I know I can trust the quality. If I didn't know the differences, it could lead to failure, and injury. I want to sue them, but have no resources to make that happen. It was the shady vendor that was allowed to do business on their platform. I ordered three, and got two. Alot more to the story, but can't type it all here. Anyways, I'll only order from blade hq from now on. Or cold steel website.

I've always wanted the oss/osi and if I had the money a black bear classic but the fully serrated fixed blade pattern really makes sense on the kobun in my eyes, I've had 3 of them in the past and always end up gifting them because they're just such great knives for the price, but the serrated will be a keeper. I would really like to see an updated Steel on the kobun, I know there's plenty of other Tanto offerings from CS in premium steels but I think the kobun could use a little love. maybe 3v, maybe 01, D2? Something that can really take a beating.

At the 12:14 mark of this video, Lynn Thompson says "all this detail is forged in". Making it sound like Cold Steels new tomahawks have hand-forged detail, which is completely not true because they are actually dop forged(the "detail" is from the shape/design of the mold where a steel billet is rammed into it to form the shape of that mold).

I'm loving Coldsteel's drop-forge series, but I wish they would bring back the Original Full flat grind Leatherneck SF. It was my first fixed blade & is still going strong 8 years later after much use.

You should try practicing on throwing the blade of the click n cut while pressing the lock mechanism at the right time. Just seems like a fun idea

Got a Ka-bar folding knife a few years ago, (made in CHI-na) and it folded on my index finger, cutting to the bone, leaving me with some odd nerve damage.
