I had the same thing tuesday, pissed a little rain in the morning but the wind picked up and they got dry enough to go in the afternoon. Haven't done any since. Looks like it may be a salvage operation to get the rest of em the way the forecast looks😆

Very nice upgrade on the combine Chris! The weather here has been similar. It has been a slow harvest as well.

What a beautiful setup. What did you have before this one? How I have always said the real on a flex head as you put a 4 x 4 Cube under a spot in the cutter bar usually the middle. And then you bring your real down to just above that. That is usually a very good starting point where in tougher conditions you can bring that real down and you can either shove it out which would get it even lower to help bring material onto your Draper There should be some settings on the head or the feeder house if you have the option of the tilt on the face plate. But on the head there should be adjustment somewhere to set the angle of the cutter bar for how aggressive the cutter bar is diving into the ground That has to be one of the most simple combines on the market. I hope it treat you very well. I only had a couple of guys that I knew that had them and they absolutely love them On a nice machine like that have your local dealer come out and do an inspection with you this winter. And 100 percent do engine oil and coolant and then your hydro system oil scans

Dam way to new for you

So we had a 9895 the big brother to yours and we put an air foil chauffer in and then we pretty much just cranked the fan all the way up and it did a great job in corn and pretty decent in beans and wheat we got compliments at the elevator for those samples when we bought a new gleaner and then got compliments all the time we were cleaning it waaaay better then a deere those combines can produce a good sample just takes awhile tk fine tune lol

I haven't done any crops other than hay since I was in my teens, but with the drought we've been having I won't complain a bit about the rain. That said I would be frustrated too if I had crops to harvest and got as much off and on rains as you folks in your neck of the woods. We have no control over the weather, but we can make adjustments on our equipment to get us through . Nothing wrong in the way you run your farming operation ,keep up the good work .

We never tried to tell a farmer how to adjust his combine as most had their own personal settings for harvesting. Happy for you that you were able to get started harvesting.

This weather has been a great pain this year, we started on corn doing well for the year switched from corn to beans three times finally got the beans all out average 64 bu I never thought they do that we have good soil have a bit of everything corn doing better then I thought also . Good to see get to play with the new toy it took me a season too get used to it its a 9570 deere and a 25ft head took awhile to get used to it all . From turkey creek farms be safe n thankful

When you drop the head o though to myself you need more fwd an aft on the reel. Give yourself self you'll have it all dailed in an working properly

Cool beans I thought you were going to shell corn so I didn't know why u were worried but your on beans brother that's one sweet rig got 1655 4wd stripped down to almost nothing that pinion beat the front case all to pieces found a nice 1 already that tractor had loader on it and worked in 4wd on hard surface not designed for that application 1 bull pinion was tuff getting out found nice carrier man that field looks awesome be safe and enjoy 👍

Interesting that you are getting such a late start. I started on corn September 26, had nothing over 20%. Switched over to beans, started on them 10-7. Finished corn 10-20. Central Iowa location, pretty much ideal harvest conditions.

i bought a used tractor a year ago about this time and spent all summer fixing things that needed done to it but had fun doing it and still have a few things to go but happy with it not sure but you may want to look at the for and aft on the feeder house tilt the head back just a touch may help that pushing trouble i have heard guys have to do that when they have went from auger head to a draper head

If you go into the purple hand and go into the vmm data you can see basically every sensor input and controller output on the machine. The dynaflex heads are kinda dunny to get set right you have to play with the fore and aft head pitch and ground pressure to get them to feed. Its so odd to see a dyna flex in 25ft. The ones i deal with are all 35 and 40.

We have been getting a lot of rain down here in Indiana also.

Noticed going down the road the fall colors are starting to come in. Yea a "new to me "machine you always have a learning curve but you will figure it out in short order. I am in Georgia and we haven't had rain in several weeks. Good for the harvest going on but sure could use some. Had to stop over seeding pastures cause it got too dry. Chris I have a 66 row crop that needs the short stubby output PTO shaft. Mine is broken off. Do you know where I could get one?

Nope We can hear you! Now that I’ve seen your shop and buildings it’s kind of cool to watch your video and say.....I remember that tractor, or that little combine stuck back in the corner. Snow is predicted for tomorrow Chris.....

The one thing I didn't like about the only draper I've ever ran (which happened to be a John Deere 630D on an S670 combine) was that it didn't feed good at all if the beans were short (which auger heads don't either really) and if it ever got into a weedy patch (which there were a couple in that field) it didn't like pulling in the green weeds (I guess because they were heavier) so it would start pushing a big wad of crap. That kind of got annoying.

Does your KB wagon have a HG violet sticker on it? That’s more down by me. I actually use to work for Wellman seeds in delphos if your are familiar with delphos

The weather this year has been irritating. It's impossible to get anything done. I know exactly what you're saying. I actually caught myself last week feeling irritated and wondering if I'm getting slower as I'm getting older or less motivated.. looking back at incomplete summer projects, and then I'm like wait a minute it rained all summer lol.. I doubt it will be as reliable as the 8570, very doubtful.
