Rise of the Ronin is an open world action game based in the japanese during the End of 19th century. @@ericmacgillivray537 EASY! Game of the year. Said it last month when I picked it up after taking like a two week break. I was like mfckas is so impressionable, to not actually see value where it exists, ON KZfaq. All they gotta do is watch game play. Crazy azzes😮‍💨

I truly hope we have more content for this game. I am a huge Team Ninja/Koei fan and can only hope they give us more for this game. I was hoping for nioh 3 but so far this is satiating me.

There's still hope and room for a story DLC. After the historical events of the base game, there was another event called the Satsuma Rebellion in which the Samurai started a rebellion against the newely appointed Imperial government, since Samurai traditions were being abolished by the government, which angered the Samurai. For a better context, the movie, the Last Samurai, was kind of based off of this historical event, so i would like to see Team Ninja's take on this.

Love this game, honestly fav game of the year for me so far. Ball and chain, the claw feet and hands from ninja gaiden, nunchucks, sai blades, ya blade twin arm would be cool, or like dlc and you play as your blade twin, bo staff, eight diagram pole, although it could just be a skin for the nunchucks, but yeah that’s it and of course an expansion would be amazing. Was not expecting three open world areas, such a treat. And I’m sure you guys now but I was not expecting relationships on this game (veiled vow) deff a great touch

I would love a normal NG+ so i can just replay the whole game without unlocking skill trees and clothing. Just being able to play with the same twin blades i created and transfer all my weapons and gear so i can playtrough the entire game one more time. Also all the bond levels should stay in tact as well.

Clothing? You mean loot and armor? It's a looter RPG, the loot is an integral mechanic of the game and is the largest component of your build besides your weapons, the game would be pretty boring without the loot progression

I don't think I've felt better combat in a game then rise of the ronin. It just feels so good!

I have tons of issues with this game, but overall I still love it, so I really hope we get some DLC in the future (and if we do, I really hope we get more stances and/or weapons, that would be cool asf).

my wishes for this game is that we are allowed to play co-op in the free roam and that parrying stops being a forced mechanic, it becomes repetitive way too quick and doesn't allow for cool combos, it just ruins an otherwise great combat system. Having a parry system is ok, but forcing it is not.

They literally don't force it at all but okay. You can easily get by with just blocking and evading if you're that bad at parrying.

Parrying is not forced into the combat system. If youre bad at it, you can still block and evade

I'm just glad they added the feature to reset areas. Before you just ran out of content once you had beaten midnight. Can't wait to play it again now

I love the game! I want mini DLC‘s! I love the fighting styles. It reminds me of way of the samurai four and three way back in the day with a better open world vibe. Wish there were a few more side activities and bad ass costumes though. Wink wink

Happy im still playing this game (but i just got it 😅) while everyone else just let it go. Game is a masterpiece tbh. Midnight is becoming easier for me. Almost done with chap 1

I'm trying to get to do in midnight difficulty. This 100%+ requirement shouldn't be that strict.

Really love this game defo my GOTY soo far and in my fav games of all time because I love the Samurai lore! Add DLC in America 🇺🇸 then maybe in England 🇬🇧 and use that more to influence certain styles and weapons etc Add co op mode like how GoT had the legends mode or co op focused missions Add more weapons like nunchucks, scythe, tonfa, knuckle dusters, axe, throwable tomahawks like how we have shurikens Add freeze whetstone Add nore to the non armed combat All in all I love this game!

I'm not sure how the level sync is working exactly. It doesn't seem like you can turn it on and off. All levels seem not to change from 100 once level sync is turned on, it seems like you can't switch it back off if I wanted to

I've gotten the trophy for 100 cats found but currently unable to purchase any of the 100% rewards like the 2x swords reward

Keep up the good work. Eternal Nightmare was not fun. It was a bit much in my opinion. The first two bonuses on each of the new sets are meat of the sets. I feel like Prodigious Dragon is a bit better over all.

@@Phrosonyeah and all the gear it drops you is the better colored variants too lol and some weapons you only get from midnight too. But it’s not exactly new game + because everything is completely unlocked for you in midnight mode

@@SavageEntertainmentYEAH Everything is not unlocked. You got to completely fill the Completion Rate bar in Chapter 1 (Yokahama) before you could proceed to Chapter 2 Edo and so forths. Also "The Men of Tosa" is the only Bond Mission available until then.

@@davidtsmith33 I mean all locations and markers are unlocked. You can fast travel anywhere besides the unruly areas that reset. It’s not a true ng+. I’m on midnight chapter 2

New Features: "Added feature to manually reset Unruly Areas....On "Midnight". How do you get to do this?

When you go to select a new area in testament of soul it will give you the option to reset unruly areas. (Be advised everything will be lvl 100) Unruly areas are no joke now.

@@Crazyfayze You were going good until you mentioned the reset areas would then be level 100. Daayum that's harsh. We'd they have to make it so? I desperately wanted a way to completely full up the Midnight Rate Completion bar in order to be able to proceed from Yokahama on to Edo but no luck so far. I have just one last Ronin mission to get past I believe "The Sakurada Gate Incident" with Li and Blue devil team up but even at level 90-91 I just can't get to beat them. Every time (numerous tries) they end up killing me and is such a bummer.

@@davidtsmith33 for that fight in particular try bringing the Frenchman with the shield, he can tank quite a bit, then focus on blue demon first when fighting both of them. Use your bow and shoot blue demon with poison and fire arrows (easier said than done) once you kill one the other is fairly easy. Do not try to solo them, they're too strong and aggressive.

@@Crazyfayze Thanks. Next time I'll try that strategy. BTW, I've been able to progress to Chapter 2 Midnight. I didn't realise I could have done other bond missions besides Ryoma's "Men of Tosa". Somebody told me you can select the others' bond missions by pressing R1 on the bond mission thingy which I never knew before. So I was able to do some and the next thing I knew was I saw a pop up saying Chapter 2 is now unlocked. I could have jumped for joy. So I also went to Edo and cleared out a couple public areas too. Now I can continue enjoying the game. Gonna go back for Li and Blue Devil some time though for revenge.

@@davidtsmith33 yeah I forgot that you could use bond missions to progress the bar to unlock ch 2. That should allow you to get OP for the fight. Glad that roadblock got cleared for you.

Doesn't matter for me. Everything only for midnight mode. They shouldn't give the people the possibility to play on easy or normal but only one setting on endgame. The difficulty spike is just way to hard from normal to midnight for me so no fun at all. Why no unruly area reset on normal mode too? The world is just to empty there definitely not enough to do. I loved the game so much but in terms of open world activities they did a pretty bad job.

I like this game, but this additions do nothing for me. New armor perks that only appears in midnight replaying missions and only as i seen the game starts dropping them halfway through chapter2. The level sync also feels pointless, do the missions you know by heart again, only to get better armor that you get for what? Also personally, all this feels soulless with this poor excuse for a NG+.

The game is fun but whoever did the translation for the game doesn’t speak good English. The story and gear is lacking. The combat is fun though. They should have spent the money to get the story done properly in English. This is like a badly translated anime.
