You should move the hallway desk against the wall so the bench is usable. You have this wonderful built in bench and close it off with the desk.

Hey Lauren! The living room looks fantastic! I love it without the built in now - it does make it so much more open but there is still a beautiful window seat there. Perfect for decorative pillows. And moving the columns was definitely the right call. Great job!

Your space looks great!! I love the sofa in your main living space. Great place for family fun and cuddle time. If I can add my 2 cents, I would just texture and a bit of warmth with dark velvet down pillows and cable knit/chunky blankets.

I like the black sectional, love mixing modern pieces with traditional. You asked about the drapes...what about a black and ivory color block or a wide horizontal stripe drape? Kind of that Kate Spade feel and something I remember in Paris hotel rooms. It would bring in another touch of black into the room which would flow nicely with the sectional.

Happy to see the window seating gone. And I realize that the couch was free, but still too much furniture. Maybe you could take a piece or two back downstairs. As for the foyer, I think the desk is beautiful but not for that spot. A round entry table with a beautiful vase of flowers would be better suited for that area. It’s always a work in progress. Time for the kids to start picking up after themselves. You deserve time for yourself especially since you say you’re still working 😳🥰

I like that you can all fit on the couch as a family now. It's super cozy looking. I really like the window being open as I feel like it's a major feature of your house, plus you can see out to the fountain. I'm sure the animals are wanting something to boost them up so they can see out while laying down :) It's so nice having that door in your laundry room to open while you are cleaning in there. I loved the video. So much fit into one video, cooking, cleaning, re-arranging, organizing. I'll definitely be looking forward to hearing more about the chickens in an upcoming video.

I think the new sofa absolutely fits your purpose and need for this area. I would get rid of the zebra print throw, it just seems out of place. Maybe something matching the chandelier that you love. I would also do something in the bay window, pillows and plants possibly? Have you ever had cushion seating there? I've gotta tell you that you are so amazing, if I had half of your energy and vigor I would achieve everything I ever dreamed. You set the standard, actually I believe your the standard of excellence. I love your video's and what you do for your kids to make them feel so special. God bless you this Easter season.

Love the living room sofa. I love the drapes. The wall with the sofa looks perfect. The room looks classy & cozy. I would live with it before replacing anything. The big open window is beautiful. I would use that window for my Easter decorating.I love the beautiful shades & drapes they make the room flow with the rest of the house. They are the star along with the light fixture of the room. In the last video where you were asking about wanting to see the real stuff. You cleaning up after the kids is real. That's just enough real for me. I like seeing that the house is messy at times and chaotic. That humanizes things. I don't like seeing things all perfect all the time. I like seeing the kids have fun and were allowed to be kids. A lot of channels just have a clean house. It's weird to me.

We just moved to another state and a much bigger house. I wanted a new couch for the basement so bad but I used our old one and threw some white throw covers on it and I love it. Sometimes just using what you have works. ❤️❤️

The living room looks great! I love the juxtaposition of the modern sofa with your antique pieces. To make your sofa a little smaller, you could take one of the middle pieces out. But honestly I think the scale of the sofa really anchors the room as-is. Have a great day!

Hi Lauren, I love the new living room furniture placement , it does feel a lot more open and I love opening up the window seat area. I get why you love that couch so much. I love the texture and the comfort and durability, but I don’t love the dark color in that space, the black feels too modern to me in that room, but that’s just me. I do like that you didn’t have to spend any money on it, plus you want to move, so save that money for the future. I wish the couch was white or ivory for that space, but I know not having to clean a white couch is a relief! I’d like to see what the room looks like without the curtains, that idea intrigues me. I love your day in the life videos, it is very satisfying to watch the cleaning and daily tasks that we all do to keep our lives running smoothly, and to see how someone else does it. Thanks for sharing your life with us.

Personally I feel the dark sofa is to heavy for this gorgeous room. Also I was wondering 2 things... first why were you vacuuming while the Roborock is running? Also , I don't know how old your children are.. but I was taught and taught my son to pick up after himself after playing. It seems odd that they would just walk away and leave the mess for mom. Children should have chores and help around the house . It builds character.

I love the new living room !!! I have a sectional in my living room too and it’s so cozy to have the whole family just “ chill” on. My Sundays start with a morning workout , then church . Once we get back, kids finish up homework and I prep my lunch for the work week and also cook dinner for the week.

Love your videos... makes me happy to watch them... but sweet girl, you gotta make your living room a 'no playdough zone'...! Make your basement rec room for playdough...or better yet... and OUTside craft only....as I did when my kids were little... it was never allowed in... they may squack about it...but it will make your clean up so much easier!!!
