Although I do hear Prime is good… I also hear that Prime will send you home mid-training for little things, or they're just very strict.

⁠⁠⁠@@Mdroudianyou have to remember, this is a very dangerous job, you have a lot of lives in your hands when behind the wheel and it’s no joke. Too many people have come to Prime, or any training company, hearing that it’s an easy job with easy money; neither are true. You will work your butt off for every penny you make and it can be very good money if you trust the system. Many don’t and are constantly looking for that shortcut that ultimately end up as bad/dangerous habits. So if you’re one for trying to cheat the system or always looking for that quick fix, or easy money then there’s no need in becoming a truck driver. I’ve been out here for 27 years and can honestly say the Rex is a true example of what a truck driver should be because he puts his heart into it and it shows. He will have a long and prosperous career because he cares and if he were to train you, I have no doubt that you, too would end up being trained right and become very successful. Don’t let others scare you off if it’s something you think you could do. Like Wayne Gretzky said, “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.”

When I went through 5 weeks OTR training w/ TMC, it was in a 2 bunk mid roof. NO WAY I'd share a sleeper again and I would NEVER slip seat a bunk. HELL no.

And the lease purchase video you’re talking about is good. I’m looking to potentially finance a cheaper truck and bring it into their lease fleet but it looks like other trucks (with a lower truck payment) have to be 2022 or newer and all of this stuff!! Most cost effective option but .

I was in Mike's group of new drivers. I wanted tankers and still want to try eventually. They stuck me in flatbed. It's not bad but I am not as flexible/ mobile as I was younger. Climbing on top of loads to tarp and trying to lift the tarp on those high loads. Who do I have to talk to about switching to tankers division. I know they are heavy and liquid surges like trying to carry a bucket of water. Drove through chain area in Vail area after Thanksgiving snow storm. No experience on ice yet.

Biggest thing with tanker is “do everything more smoothly & slower” like backing, turning and taking off. You get use to the surge after a while
