There are currently two KZfaq channels in my bad books; The Missenden Flyer & 44Teeth. I watched their videos on the various Ducati V4 machines, and I suddenly found that my bank balance had reduced by £20,000. Although the silver lining is that I am taking delivery of a Panigale V4 this Friday.

@@maxflight777 I'm replacing my Ducati Monster S2R. I genuinely love the Monster, and will probably get another in the future, but wanted another superbike purely as I enjoy them more as a weekend toy. My 2019 CBR1000RR Fireblade is now a full track bike and not road legal. Running costs are higher on superbikes of course, especially on something like a Panigale V4, but to be honest if low running costs and fuel economy etc. are top of your priority list then a bike like the V4 probably isn't suitable for you (if it's your only bike anyway).

Thanks for keeping the manufacturers honest on the fuel gauge issue! It's also a pet peeve if mine and honestly can be the difference of a lost sale. I bought my 21 S1000RR due to cruise control, heated grips, and fuel gauge! Every bike has insane power for me it comes down to all the DETAILS. This is coming from a street rider not using it to do under 1000kms only on a track (nothing wrong with that )

Great wrap up on the SF, nice insights. These will help me a lot as I ponder what's next for myself personally. I will also look forward to the comparison with the KTM, as that's another one that I have on my radar. You hit most of what I have observed with my V4S which is quite similar to the SF I believe. ONE Thing that I have come to really appreciate that you did not mention is the auto cancelling turn signals. I do appreciate this feature quite a bit, funny small thing, but very handy for us forgetful types. The lack of a gas gauge baffles me, Ducati are so good with the electronics implementation and the attendant software. They could (in my opinion) with just a couple of sensors and some algorithmic legerdemain work out a gas consumption/gauge handily. I understand why a mechanical float type would be too compromised....but come on this is the 21st century Ducati! A last observation is that I totally agree with you on the shifter with the Ducati. I have an Aprilia Tuono with auto blip, quick shifter, and the Ducati implementation is much smoother in my opinion. So Ducati have nailed the electronics quite well on that feature. Ride safe.

Hi Andy, Great review as usual. I’ve gotta comment on how useful your reviews are coming from a road rider point of view, that is what 99.9% of riders want to hear 👍. Do you think that the Streetfighter may run a bit cooler than the Panigale, seeing that there’s no fairing channeling hot air thru the engine and then combining with the radiated exhaust heat? You’re making it very difficult for me to not go and visit my local dealer and throw my money on the table 😂. Eagerly awaiting your comparison video 👍🎥. Cheers from 🇦🇺

You should be able to get the bike into neutral without a problem at that price. I have had 3 Ducatis in the past and they all had some niggles except for the Sport Classic which was a really good one. I had a beautiful ST-3 and the tailpipe fell off in the country and the dealer had to come and get me. Another time the engine wouldn't shut off. Yes, they really are beautiful and fun to ride but Ducati needs to get it together with the small details. My Monster was always difficult to get into neutral until it warmed up.....Sal : )

Hi Andy Thanks for all your videos. Look forward to them each week. I just put a holding deposit down on a Streetfighter V4S, doesn’t arrive in country until September and need to test ride one soon. I put myself in your general area of age and expertise (probably slightly less in skill). The SF has power but if setup right until you get used to it, is it a bike that will be too much for you and I so to speak. I’m no tack day regular or anything. Weekends only around the state here in Queensland Australia. Just wondering if I am buying too much bike even though it has rider aids and can be tweaked to help save my life? My other alternative was still 150Hp so what difference does 200HP make :-) I hope I can safely grow into it.

Good to hear the seat is more comfortable. This is my biggest issue with spending $ on one. They are SO uncomfortable. The reason they only go 100KM to a tank of gas, is that you NEED to get off that seat every 100KM. Or you will become numb in the nethers.

We were lucky enough to test the Streetfighter and the Panigale back to back (shootout to Ducati Coventry for that) and I would echo a lot of this. The Panigale was a weapon above 60mph very fast bike especially on a road but I really enjoyed the Streetfighter it just fell into the corners like an old friend, weirdly I do want to get another bike in a year or 2 and I'm thinking of this or the RSV4, spent many years as a Honda fanboy actually, so maybe a midlife crisis now choosing those two.

Here's a question for you sir. Given the choice between the Duke and your Street Triple which would you rather own? As a previous ST owner I'd still choose the Trumpet..... value for money and smiles per mile with adequate performance you can exploit on uk roads think it's a bit of a no brainer. Can understand the allure of the red missile [ have owned a Ducati too] but for me personally a little too much and would be afraid to leave 20 grands worth of machine parked anywhere unattended. Realize am not comparing like for like but, would be interested in your thoughts.

Regarding the cost of it, If budget allowed i'd have this in my garage keeping my Panigale company today! I prefer to own my bikes using the somewhat old fashioned method of saving up to buy what i want. It's my opinion that the PCP style scheme is what's driving up the price of bikes for outright purchase. That may well be an outdated opinion i know but as i'm 50 now that's where it comes from so i consider it valid. I wonder if Ducati would sell more if they kept the prices down but then i suppose it would no longer be an aspirational bike manufacturer. Just my two penneth.

I've always found that heat from the underseat exhausts on a Ducati is only a problem if you dawdle about and ride them sloooooooowly. If you ride them like they're meant to be ridden (i.e. fast) then heat isn't a problem, as you leave it all behind. Nudge nudge, wink wink.

OMG all these comments on the lack of a fuel gauge, I’ve never owned a bike with a fuel gauge and the only time I ran out of fuel was in a car! These bikes have great reviews and one of my favourite other Vloggers (Cali Moto TV) has one but I just don’t get why a comfortable naked bike needs 200 odd horse power? Couple points that I would like to add since I've been living with my SF V4S 2021 Stealth. 1. The quickshifter is not good at all in comparison to Aprilia and BMW. It have fail me already several times finding false neutral at high speed and please do not comment that is because I'm not pushing hard or long enough. Because on my Aprilia or or the BMW this has never happened. 2. The bike have several build quality issues at least the 2021 received in US. They are very sensitive to corrosion spots on the aluminum part of the engine. 3. I have got the service light to turn on 3 times already for no reason. 4. The bike some times gasp for air so replace the air filter again this is for the 2021 so I don't know if Euro 5 Make have something to do. 5. Some of the bikes have a water pump problem where it leaks oil. 6. The throttle response when you decelerate it transfer weight ver harshly making handling on roads and turns a bit twitchy 7. If you are over 200 pounds of weight you need to change the front springs suspension. 8. Gas it does drink it a lot :) but there are ways to compensate for that. 9. The bike is expensive so I would not expect any of the issues listed above. This my honest unbias review as I paid for the bike full price so as owner I would not expect any of the issues below also I have reached out to the dealer but they have not being able to help with the QS misses I will reach out about the service light.

@@TheMissendenFlyer Let me star saying that I truly like your videos and thanks for the content that you bring please keep going :) . To be honest for the prize that I paid I was expecting a flawless bike for me the biggest issue is the QS as is something that endanger my life so for now I’m not trusting it. When the bike works is an amazing motorcycle and it does put a huge smile on my face. I’m bringing it to the dealer for them to review with Ducati and determine next steps if the QS keep failing like that I probably switch the bike for a new Tuono. I do want the motorcycle to work as I really like how it looks and how the engine behave. I know the QS issue had happened to other owners but it does not seem to happen to everybody I was the h lucky one :(.
