Might I recommend playing as Madyas? While they're superficially not ideal, they have quite a few interesting features! -Firstly, they're one of only two easily-obtainable Hindu Republics in the whole game (alongside the pirate route for Palembang), letting them use the powerful Hindu deities with much greater flexibility. For example, you can switch to Shiva before easy wars for AE and core creation cost, Vishnu when converting for missionary strength, Ganga for construction cost, and so on instead of always being Shakti for siege/discipline or Ganesha for diplo-rep/improve relations. -Secondly, they're in the fantastic and deeply-underrated starting position of the Philippines. You get a big early-game economic boost from the trade value and taxes of its ungodly number of Gemstone provinces, you can get a massive economic boost by performing a Trade War against Ming in the early game and blockading them for thousands of ducats at zero risk to yourself (though you should take Maritime or Naval ideas so you can force newly-built ships out of port with a small marine force), and if you vassalise rather than conquer near the mainland, you can pretty much keep any Institutions you develop out of China for an arbitrary length of time. -Their national ideas and unique position combo with an obscure government reform for fairly reliable high-strength leaders, the Board of Admirals. This lets your current Admirals become the leaders of your country, with more pips bringing better rulers, and a bias towards picking better admirals to be your ruler. With +3 naval pips from Madyas national ideas, +1 from the reform itself, +2 from the prerequisite Naval Ideas, and up to +4 from policies (+3 shock, +4 fire and +3 maneuver) you have godly Admirals and are very likely to get excellent leaders! -Madyas also has an achievement if you invade the Americas and keep certain provinces as cores, so it might be a good idea to conquer the Caribbean and beat up Europe while you're at it.

I tried for this achievement a few months ago, but I was slower and things went terribly wrong. I gave up when I was facing a war against Spain (PU Portugal allied with Austria (absorbed Hungary, Bohemia, PU Burgundy). Even an Ottoman alliance won't save you from those monstrosities.

Instead of declaring with a royal marriage and getting -1 stab, instead remove the royal marriage and then declare. Since you made Morocco your rival you will only get -1 prestige and no stability drop.

As a complete begginer who hasnt even played tutorial, Tunis my my first nation who taught me a lot, would reccomend it and its pure fun too

Is it worth it to centralise your development like that, even though you’re robbing yourself of development elsewhere? The humble bundle sale is great, like 50,000 more copies of the game have been sold. I got most of the dlc's before I even knew humble bundle existed. Bit I got leviathan and a few others off of humble bundle, so now I only need the cosmetic stuff, music stuff, and origins to have all the dlc.

When i try to manage a game as Morocco or Tunis, i always struggle with manpower and get massive rebel problems. Those games cost me a lot of funiture, because destroying of some wood structure, helps to decrease my aggression. 😁

The 1.33 AI uses a lot more interactions, for better or worse. The Ottomans intervened in my war for Lund against Denmark during my Sweden campaign, let's just say that campaign didn't last long.

Tatouines a province in Tunisia cuz its an actual place in Tunisia, not because of star wars. Tatooine is named what it is because of that place.
