This was my favorite deck in the TCG and I have been waiting for Ophion in DL. I have all the cards ready to go and will try this build.

Once the new box comes out this deck will probably be T2 maybe 3, it will do a good job of keeping shaddols in check, since winda is going to come in and shit on the meta

This would've been sick in the BLS format. But with decks like rocket, salad, live twin, and somewhat tenyi in the meta, I can't see this being decent in a competitive setting. I can imagine it dumps all over yubel/neos though. The best thing going for the deck is that it has access to limit 3s. Thanks for the vid, though. Still good to see what new decks are capable of.

Yeah there’s a handful of decks that Ophion doesn’t do anything against and most of those decks will naturally outpace Evilswarm - though there are still things you can do in those matchups and in a KC Cup Stage 2 Evilswarm could be a solid deck to switch to when a particular few decks are popular, even if it isn’t tier 3

Thoughts on Evil Swarm in the upcoming meta with Tachyon and Shiran nerf? Would you add Shuffle Reborn to the deck to get out a second XYZ monster?

I think Evilswarm could be nice either with Shuffle Reborn or with Swing of Memories + Silent Doom for Heliotrope (maybe Unexpected Dai too) - as ending on Ophion + Nightmare + Pandemic is a hard board to break for many decks

Literally any generic 4, although exciton is pretty good in this, since he's an Lswarm he has singery with the rest of the deck

Whichever strong rank 4s you have access to can replace Exciton - such as Dweller, Number 80, Dark Rebellion and Ouroborus (which is also an Evilswarm)

If you have Compulse then that’s another strong limit 3 card you can use, otherwise something like Book of Moon is a card I found myself missing sometimes

IDP cannot be used in this deck because the skill says you can only special summon Evilswarms

Hmm maybe, Shiranui plays Droplet and could out it with Spiritmaster pop but Tachyon would have a rough time if they go second - they can still get to a rank 8 if they set spiral with the skill and normal seyfert, but then they lose to any backrow that you might have

I can definitely see it being at least tier 3, especially in KC Cup format where there is no side deck

When they were meta on tcg,they didn’t have them flood gates that duel links currently has as meta. This deck is definitely a party pooper for the rest of the foreseeable future of the game

Haha i was thinking in ur yusei ranking in that kc cup heh and suddenly i found this video on my feed How the heck he summoned blue eyes when u had ophion... So the skills are not affected by monster effects

ophion only stops special summons

Yea it’s because the Blue-Eyes skill lets them normal summon the Blue-Eyes, but Ophion only prevents special summoning
