They should add Dori's shop where you can buy those event weapons and their ascension mats. And have it appear randomly daily somewhere in Sumeru just like commision quest.

I think it's also a reverse bait, like how you get Amos Bow from the standard banner and you're forced to pull Ganyu, in this case you have R5 Cinnabar Spindle in your inventory and you're saving for Nahida but your inner demon is telling you to get Albedo coz you have his weapon.

It's so unfair how weapons just disappear. I will forever cry over not having festering desire.

They built him so underpowered for the test run! If you do a little grinding for artifacts and get his elemental ability to level 9 you can easily get 15-20k crits often

Mihoyo : Lets put his BiS weapon on his trial (Also forget it is a limited time weapon and is no longer available)

I really hope there will be a way you could buy event exclusive weapons in the future. Just doesn’t seem fair to have weapons like these locked from new players.

i think hoyo should make a event weapon store or just put them in the same store where other event items are now

I really wanted to play Albedo after completing his story quest, it was very disappointing that his character trial doesn't exist in the Act I, then weeks later his banner came including his BiS weapon, ever since then I have 0 regrets to pull him and Albedo combo with Zhongli definitely make them unstoppable 😌

I think making it so we can obtain event weapons during each anniversary would be a good idea since then older players who already have them don't feel like they wasted time getting those weapons newer players get excess to the event weapons and they still feel as special as when they came out.

If I played Genshin for just one month earlier, I could’ve had something good for Albedo. I wish they came out with another Def sword at some point.

They should rework the event weapon system do it works like with these Seelie pets; each event brings new weapon, but you don't have to get it. You can pick one of the old ones instead.

Me with Festering Desire. I don’t know why they don’t just add the event weapons to the gift shops like they did with the instruments. Hell I’d grind 20mil mora to get just one event weapon to R5

Now this is anxiety enducing knowing I won't be able to get the weapon because it was a limited event long ago

I have all the event weapons so far and I feel bad for the new players that were unable to obtain it. This is probably a great opportunity for hoyoverse to make new dungeons that you can solo or co-op for players to get the weapons that already pass. Like once you clear it the chess at the end have a chance to drop that weapon for players that miss it. This is just an idea I'm brainstorming. I would like to hear other people's opinions or suggestions.

mihoyo learned a new type of powercreep: make the newer characters more desirable because you missed out on gear for the old ones…

Rather than making Cinnabar Spindle obtainable again i think they need to make an even better weapon for Albedo thats a typical 5* BiS weapon. This would also buff albedo performance if he had a 5* BiS weapon

why dont they do the thing they do for event gadgets like lyre/zither/harpastum and put it in the shops in liyue and mondstadt? i mean its been enough time i think. i hate having the weapon but im saving for someone else rn. his reruns have the worst timing stg

Because of that I pulled him on his banner instead of Nilou. But I regret a bit not to pull on Nilou's Banner :'(

I missed festering desire, because Mihoyo have a tendency to put Lore related quest behind limited time events. Hell even those events are so chocked in time.

I have no regret getting the weapon and getting Albedo too. Not only it looks great on him, it's also like Klee's weapon, only available from a limited event.

I didn't get Albedo until this current update, but thankfully I had the Cinnebar Spindel stored in my inventory just for this moment, so I'm thankfully set.

Harbringer dawn is only option I think that best f2p weapon since providing critical dmg and 28% rate and also albedo only spam skill he won't lose any hp

i got this but they should definitely rerun event exclusive weapons along with the events cause i cannot imagine not ever having the option to get it again

they should honestly release a 5 star weapon for albedo that has r5 cinnabar as its passive with an added crit substat. and the def percentage is moved to its passive.

I will forever weep for my Harbinger Albedo. I started playing Genshin when the event with his sword started, but since I was new, I had no idea what I was doing, and I did the literal first quest for the event, then didn’t know how to do anything else for it and just did story missions

i was so lucky to barely having started playing when the cinnabar spindle came out and i managed to get my hands on it in time.... recently I got Albedo and they are together at last.

I got Albedo in a frustration. I missed Hutao just by 3 wishes away. I didn't know I was just 3 wishes away. So I just thought just waste some wishes to build pity but got Albedo on 3rd wish. First I got irritated but as I built him slowly I realised his worth. Not to mention the cinnabar spindle event was just happening as I got him and some of def stat artifacts lying around in my inventory. Now he is so much fun to play. Still building him up. But he's a solid character in my opinion.

I started playing in 2.3 where the event was and just got albedo too for my xiao team but itll be a long time until i build him lol

I was here wayyy before his event in December 2021 with his weapon, I just was really busy then for family reasons and LITERALLY only had time to do daily commissions and occasionally spending resin. Now I have Albedo, but not his weapon. Pain.

That actually brings up a good point. You can’t really use Albedo to his full potential unless you have this event weapon, so people would be less inclined to pull for him. I know he is still good even without the weapon, but there is no other weapon that can work with nearly as well as the event weapon can. It is the only sword that has Defense as its main stat after all.

I am so happy I got albedo when I did, he was my first 5 star that wasn’t the standard banner 5 stars, and I have the cinnabar spindle since I got him and the weapon during the event :D

I'm so glad for owning his weapon! Really goes well with his design. Now I only wish to get Festering Desire for the collection. I like Albedo's origin story.

I've said this since I've started playing, but every time there is a survey in the open ended part I add in that there needs to be some sort of event weapon shop. People are willing to spend the primos/starglitter/money and time to get a R1 of a previous event weapon if they need it for a character or team build. Hell, I've even wrote that the marvelous box event, that happens about twice a year, that if players missed out a previous event weapon then the Mega Box should allow you to choose one of said weapon, but you forgo the primos you would usually get form the Mega box.

With the right balance, that sword can give you 10-15k easily. I’ve maxed him out and i can deal 14-17k almost all the time. It’s sad that weapon can’t be obtain now

tbh, i never knew cinnabar spindle was a event-specific weapon.. when i was trying to get rid of swords that i don't use to lvl them up faster, i tried looking for the unused cinnabar spindle, and that's when i realised... it cannot be used to enhance weapons.. im not even planning on rolling for albedo.. not during that event, nor rn, nor ever.. but i do am pissed off about limited-time events not because of the rewards, but because of that somewhat important lore that you probably have to know, that you can't get on story/world/archon quests, and are just as important as the former.. i rly feel bad for new players who are playing genshin for the story.. hopefully the genshin anime or manga fills that void that the game cannot..

Oml I was playing when this event happened but I was so new I didn’t know how to participate in events I just thought it was a story quest.

At 2.3 when im still new in Genshin,my character is not enough strong to get Cinnabar spindle Refinement,that's why my Albedo only use R3 Cinnabar spindle

I am glad I failed my university studies to get my medical degree to grind the event to get Albedo's exclusive event weapon last year. Every one else called me a madman but I was right!

The sad thing is, i played the whole event and forgot to collect the rewards (as i was still new), looking back i wish i had collected the rewards now. 😭

Friend of mine told me not to waste my time with it after I pulled for Eula only last time the banner was around, I got spindle regardless and used the event boost to level it to 60 at least. Now the rerun is here and I'm all-in on Albedo and it feels so good to know I have the weapon. I also got Xiao and Zhongli since to make perfect use of him in a great comp.

I actually have the Spindle... only r3, because I couldn't beat the event boss, I'd only just joined in 2.3, but I have it... and it still is his best weapon even at r3... and I need those gems for Nahida, so it will continue to gather dust.

I got cinnabar spindle and originally was gonna use it on traveler because I didn't have Albedo,as soon as I got R5 I ended up pulling him in a single summon...I wish I had that type of luck for Miko but oh well,there's always the rerun

Istg, Mihoyo really needs to start implementing craftable past event weapons and farmable 4 and 5 star characters.

Thank god I got it R5’d because the dragon spine events are fun enough for me to actually participate in

I started playing around the time when dragonspine first launched and didn’t understand the game mechanics so I couldn’t do the quest for festering desire. Then I got burnout around 2.1 and quit till 2.7 so I missed the albedo event again and cinnabar spindle. He seems so fun but I literally have no good option for him so I won’t pull him (and I also need nahida). Not just for new players but also for returnee old players please bring back the old events and weapons mihoyo. I even missed the 2.2 childe event and he’s the only reason I got into genshin

I actually had the opposite issue. I got the weapon but not Albedo when there was his Rerun in the Dragonspine event. I saved up enough to reach the 5 Star but got Jean so I had the sword but not Albedo and when they did his Rerun I didn't wanted to pull for him (I'm saving for Nahida and Scaramouche) but my brother convinced me because I really wanted him and Nahida is a Archon + a new character so she will get a Rerun quite soon for the time that Sumeru is still the main focus of the game. In the end I pulled for him, I was at 36 pity and used only one fate/single wish and got Albedo at 37 Pity with no guaranteed so now I can go for Nahida and Scaramouche without concern, but if I do lose a 50/50 I hope it's with Nahida and not Scaramouche.

This does put a smile on my face

Got my Albedo back in the Dragonspine update, day 1... Took a break and missed his coolest weapon... Probably missed out a lot of his story as he doesn't appear in Archon quests at all. Being an Albedo fan is suffering.

I mean it's called a limited event weapon for a reason. I missed windblume oad and festering desire myself

true pain isn't not having the event weapons but having it not fully refined, the only event weapon i have not fully refined would be festering desire at r3 and for good reason, i had no clue what i was doing back then and also only had amber and was also lvl 30-40?
