Hey potters; today is more of a fun episode after the last video that was a little bit more educational and went overloading your bisque kiln. this video is of me testing multiple glazes and multiple glaze combos just to see what they do. I got very lucky in that I have been messing with a glaze called spearmint that I have now turned into what I call "Laogai green"

I’ve made that spearmint glaze, and it was sort of olive green. Didn’t love it. I’m gonna have to try this version!

Thanks for the laughs along with great info! The oil spot red that I got from you I use alot as a base for layering. Although I still haven't gotten it to spot much because I'm a coward put it on super thick. Also, if you haven't tried it with crocus martis do it!

That green a purple mix is beautiful. Have you ever seen a ruby zoisite gemstone, because you've recreated it perfectly. The green and oil spot red is pretty delicious, too.

That green / oil spot glaze combe is amazing. Your Randys red lookes brown in the videos. There is a potter named Vaughn Smith in Nova Scotia that has been playing around with randys red. He has gotten it red with firing holds. You might check his channel out.

im lookin to get some kind of air conditioner for my studio in preparation of the expected sac heat coming up soon and noticed at 8:36 u got a fan of some sort *looking eyes emoji* ... what kind is dat *looking eyes emoji* and do you recommend it?

It's literally just the cheapest $10 fan from Walmart . There's nothing special about it and I wouldn't recommend it over any other cheap fan 😂

I think I’m at least a couple years from making my own glazes. (I need to keep practicing & perfecting the basic skills first). But, I used to work as a Chemist and my nerd genes are rubbing their hands together to start experimenting with glazed like this!

I have a suggestion. Instead of painting your bottoms for testing. Use an underglaze pen to make your notes in the bottom of the ppt.

Naw. I used to do that but honestly it's easier to just get rid of the testile and keep the pictures on an online database like glazy. It saves more space and I get the catalog it for other people who might need the information.
