The greenhouse has a door, they grow faster if you shut it. The press F to close is the door.

if you deselect the “goods” from all but 1 shelf the stockers will always put them in the same place

You really need to go through your staff again. Before you lost everyone you had 7 stockers who were all set to do certain things including one who just stored boxes. You also only had 4 pumpers, 1 for electric and 3 for fuel but I don’t even know what your current ones are set to. You’ve really dropped the ball on it.
