Hero Equipment is unlocked at Town Hall 8 with the New Blacksmith Building in Clash of Clans. The Town Hall 16 Update brings custom hero abilities where you can select two gears to make up your ability. Dude, why can't the equipment auto upgrade when I upgrade hero levels, this is a huge part of gameplay and making that a grinding annoyance is soo boring

Here's the thing, the new wall levels take 9M for a single piece. But there are 11 troops that can completely avoid walls, 4 which can shoot over walls. There is a jump and an earthquake spell, 2 heroes which can avoid walls and now this new earthquake gear

Yeah walls seems like becoming less and less effective for protection and just being effective to be a challenge to path your army into the base (especially range troops being the harder once to funnel in)

for me, this is just an amazing feature, and something I would rlly like to be added would be for the warden to escencially use different kinds of spell effects (cuz we can see that he can either heal or rage the other troops), by that knowledge, I think it might be very cool and at the same time fun and chaotic (like for example imagine just turn everything invisible or cloned or stuff like that)

I actually like this change because for me, the archer queen's spawned units were usually detrimental to her because they triggered aoe defenses to kill her while invisible.

I’m really surprised to see such a stupid update after th15…th16 sucks, walls suck, new pet suck, what the F are coc team doing…These youtubers are only giving positive reviews coz they are assigned only to give positive views on these bullshit updates..First heros had upgrade then pets came..now hero abilities also have upgrade button , instead of giving less upgrade they’re just fooling us. I’m playing this game for almost a decade and th15 was a bad idea and after looking at this…it really breaks my heart to see they have ruined this TOTALLY

The vampire mustache, rage crystal, and spirit fox on the barbarian king is going to be unstoppable. 4 seconds of rotating invisibility while healing at 300 per hit and he can rage up if DPS gets too high… can’t wait to try it out

I loved having them tank the defending queen , Xbow , monolith, or single target inferno. Now when you Cloak the Queen. these defenses will immediately lock on the healers, resulting in an immediate fail of the Queen Charge! !!

That's correct, you can keep the same old ones. But I will happily be using the earthquake boots and the giant arrow as th13 player to navigate stupid pekkas towards the center of the village:)) I believe these new changes will encourage the players to use ground attacks prominently🤌🤌🤌 no more electro dragons:)

Look out for the trap. Supercell never add something new without messing the whole game. NGL. So now we will have to struggle to get something not as good as what we used to have. Am I the only one that can notice it?

Definitely throwing me off trying to learn the new ways to use abilities. Great chance for creativity in attacks though. Hopefully this makes th15-16 along with the defense nerfs a little bit more balanced. Looking forward to maxing all of the new stuff out!

I think the coolest part of the healer puppet is that it allows for an entire queen walk to be recalled as once you place it back down you activate the ability.

I’m not sure what you mean, this would still probably give too many healers resulting in diminishing returns, unless you didn’t take all 4 Healers before the Recall but I’m not sure why you wouldn’t. Can you clarify what you mean with this?

@@JudoSloth Seems like it would be a much cheaper way to set a funnel and QW up. You wouldn't need the 5 healers taking up camp space either. Or you could take all five and forgo cocoloons because losing healers matters less when you can just summon more after a few die. I could also see a world where people use apprentice wardens in a QW recall with only one or two healers and the three from ability. I have never been more excited for a Clash update in my life and all the healthy complexity and flexibility added to attacks will give the game a lot more depth and room for creativity. Gonna be a treat to see what the Navi guys will come up with six months down the road.

Great stuff as ever! Will you be doing an upgrade priority guide? I know with most new TH levels it's the usual routine of TH, Lab, CC, Storages, Army Camps etc but this feels very different (and exciting!) e.g. with the Blacksmith. Would love some guidance.

I was actually thinking of this during the th16 videos and the interview with Darron. The earlier townhalls need a major content update as all new content is restricted to the end of the game which is disappointing since only a few players will actually make it that far to see the new content. Having this new addition not only solves this issue but provides a new fun way to make the base feel like yours.

With the epic equipment for events, as long as it doesn’t require money to get I think will be such a good idea. Make everyone play the events to the max to get special equipment can really increase the amount of people coming back and daily play

Or widen the gap between casual and hardcore players even further. for example I didn't even know hero equipment was a thing till yesterday when i saw i had a new building in the shop tab. i took 1 week off because all my builders were busy.

It would've been cool if the default equipment was automatically upgraded whenever we upgrade that specific hero (exactly as it is right now before the update). That way we get to upgrade only the additional equipment that's unlocked from the Blacksmith.

I think this is really cool but I am worried about the progression grind to get hero equipment up to a higher level. I really hope that levelling up your gear doesn’t take ages and ages. Additionally, I am VERY afraid of having “epic” gear that’s limited. I really hope that isn’t something that’s done because it would mean for the first time that gameplay and ways to play the game would be behind rewards that not everyone will get. Anything limited atm is purely aesthetic, and doesn’t impact your ability to play the game vs anyone else. I hope they keep that in mind

Yep, it does look like that but you’ve got to think if you were upgrading these from when you were a TH8 you’d make good progress over the years. It’s like other stuff it’s intended to keep you going over time.

My main is lagging behind in town hall level due to my bouts of inactivity, but I think this could have made me more committed to the game. The one fumble, the Royal Champion not getting any new options. I love the RC, and while her base capabilities are great, I really wanna see what customization they can offer. I would love to see an ability where she throws a massive spear to snipe a building off the map. Maybe she enters a defensive and immobile state of damage reduction and then you tap the spot to hit, and then she throws the spear. Another idea would be a defensive ability that slows her movement speed, but also boosts her survivability with a damage reduction passively or temp invulnerability if an active ability.

Love the fact and whenever there's new TH update lower level THs also get something new. Either a simple reduction in cost or new buildings and mechanics like this one. I'm already TH15 tho but happy for the lower level players who'd get to try this new thing very early.

i don't like the concept of equipment in most games but supercell did it very well. it's not complicated and i like that they kinda.. kept the original abilities. for that amazing video im definitely using code judo 😁

Messing up the funnel and having an incompatible equipment for recovery could be bad, though. But I think it is rather fun knowing you can change it and create new strategies. This is great

Wtf! Offense is already fine. It’s stupid how much they are nerfing the defence. It won’t be fun i guess. You can just spam and get a 3*!! Eww

Offense wasn't fine lmao. The best players on earth barely broke 50% 3* rates at TH15. Your average player may not 3 star at all against a non rushed TH15. They are nerfing the hell out of defense because it is literally killing the game and driving players to simply not playing. You can't balance your games around your top 1% to have fun and expect it to survive.

I still use a pretty basic yeti & bowler attack, and I’ve found the earthquake boots for the king and the rage gem for the warden to be really good

You know, my previous suggestion was to have a limit of up to 8 heroes (meaning 4 more new heroes to come, still 4 limit heroes to bring each attack). But this is WAAAAY better and it still provides the flexibility on strategy without having to overload on heroes. Now supercell just need to be creative with all of the hero equipments to add. Brilliant workaround!

I hope they make the prep time attacks to 60 secs and you could change your heroes gear just like siege machines before attacking, so you could startegize even further
