New Jeans creator Min Hee-jin calls herself a 'slave' bound to HYBE and claims it's never been about money for her. But I followed the money and it turns out all she's ever done was argue over her pay. Let’s be clear. Min Hee-jin did nothing but argue over her compensation package since 2021. She received multiple generous renegotiations in her favor. On top of close to a $2 million a year salary, she turned $750k of stock options into $75 million already. She was trying to renegotiate so that the $75 mil would be closer to $150 million. And wouldn't you know, if she got her way, she'd drain Hybe's bank accounts right before BTS' comeback.
Then Hybe said enough was enough. Plus, they confronted her with super sus evidence of her scheming to run off with New Jeans and Ador. Ms. Min retaliated with a press conference to end all press conferences and here many of you are thinking she’s the victim of not being able to send out press releases of New Jeans’ debut. Is it any wonder she didn't want people to pay attention to the money during her disastrous press conference?

Min heejin's intention is very clear - she wanted her company all established without working hard, with having huge investment right from the beginning. She couldn’t do it alone, so she chose HYBE, the new comer of the industry, planted her own label even tho she was initially chosen only to debut a girl group under source music. Knowing her experience with SM, hybe trusted her as a professional, treated her very highly (mind you ador has the highest floor in HYBE which in korean business ethics are meant for top executives only, she is also the highest paid executive). She planned to make a very successful girl group with huge investment from hybe's bank. This group was already hyped up since 2 NewJeans member appeared in BTS "Permission to dance" MV, so it was never min heejin's contribution alone. They were already hyped up as upcoming BTS younger sister group, but now she wanna take full credit! After a successful group debut, she will attract investors of hybe to her own label, and since BTS is not present, all investors will drawn to her company bcz of NewJeans impact. She will escape blaming hybe with 100+ fake rumors, ppl will show sympathy to min heejin as NewJeans mother, and a lonely woman in a male dominating business world. And boom! HYBE will be going down & her own company will become like new big4. That was her exact plan. But she forgot ARMYs aren't dumb. And she has no idea, how strong BTS influence is!

Just think about it you don't interact much with your boss at work or rarely see him, or at school as a student you don't see your director that much or are friends, this makes NJ and their parents very easy to believe MHJ, she is closer to them.

She was an executive director and she went to her press conference dressed as she was the janitor and her attitude was so unprofessional also her language was so low. Considering these facts how is someone would take her seriously? We are talking about business because this is an entertaining business so she had to be to that level. Going to the press conference in that way is only her toxic try to manipulate the public opinion appealing to pity making herself a victim of the big corporation. We have to have clear HYBE is a corporation where a lot of people work so they are giving jobs and of course they exist because of profit. About the internal audit all businesses do it, is a normal practice and can be done at any time to know if everything is working as it should. She is just hungry for money and power and because things didn't go as she wanted and was discovered she is doing her drama queen show.

I have a feeling it's not all about the money, she just wants more control over what decisions she wants to make without HYBE involved and for Ador to become a completely separate label since HYBE probably has regulations that she doesn't agree with e.g making album process, making merch cheaper for fans etc. she has a different marketing and business model. This is natural because she's always around highly competent employees who are specialists in their fields. In order for her to do that she needed more shares to allow the plan of taking over Ador to happen.

It wasn't even a random outfit. She was wearing the wardrobe from the New Jeans promo photos, which were released days later. Look them up and you'll see. It was calculated not just for pity but also to connect her to New Jeans in people's minds and probably also make her appear younger and more innocent than her 40+ years. I for the most part don't watch female k pop groups because the infatalization of the artists and the aego(sp) makes me cringe. Though I have to admit watching RM and Suga trying to do aego was funny. This entire performance on the part of a 40 some year old woman executive who made 2 mill last year? This is honestly frustrating because she is exactly the reason why women in the corp field cant show emotion or cry because then they'll be accused of weaponizing their gender and emotions. Ugh. Also, I'm just astonished how people dont get or refused to acknowledge when there's proof that it has always been abt the money. If it wasn't, no company would want to drag this out. This is so infuriating. Her behavior was/ is appalling. She is so manipulative, narcissistic and greedy. As soon as I saw Her at the press conference looking like she just walked through a car wash, I knew we were in for an epic gas-lighting and that’s what she gave us. She is so convinced that she invented the moon that she will never be satisfied. She seems entirely delusional. She should be fired immediately and told “Don’t let the door hit your ass on the way out “. I am very concerned for BTS and this just makes me angry, depressed and feeling helpless. What a shitshow. I was concerned when HYBE started acquiring all of these sub labels and creating HYBE America. Any of the people that come with these sub-labels could suddenly become greedy because they are a part of HYBE. I think he should have grown Hybe slowly over the years instead of rapidly like he has in this short amount of time. I understand that they may not have had the money to do so before 2021. Hopefully they will keep a detailed eye on all of the other sub-labels. MHJ was given way too much in a short time. Her greediness and sense of entitlement from the beginning was a red flag.

But NWJNs also got the chance to be popular bcz of the HYBE exposure and "company fans" and being traded as "bts' s sisters" While lesseraffim got "hybe's first gg" And not to mention... all the songs were written composed and produced by HYBE executives/ employees... You're right. initially, hybe sold her 10% of shares in discount... She said that's not enough plus there is 45% tax on it. She was unsatisfied they negotiated and sold her 3.5% shares again in discount and vesting period for those 13.5% was less than standard vesting period... this wasn't enough for her she asked for more shares so they sold an extra 4.5% of shares and 2% to her underlings but the condition was that she can use those share after standard vesting time period with is 5 years just to make sure that she don't sell stocks n run off immediately.. Those 4.5% of stocks are extra, she doesn't deserve that. It wasn't a slave contract but more like a sweetheart contract.

she's going after Hybe, not Big Hit. she just drew them in at the last min. trying to damage BTS with her. revenge. Big hit is under the hybe umbrella of corporations, but a single entity unto themselves. IT's hard to Explain, but Big Hit is not really a part of this and neither is Bang. They only stepped in when she slandered them on her way out the door. How she got to the spot she's in, esp. as a woman in Korea, is sus to me. like I said, there's more to this that we're not hearing and maybe never will as Korea tends to keep sex out of all reporting.

I once had colleague like her, who always cribbing about being overworked and such when he has people working under him, doing everything and he got to get the credit. And when things fall out, he will threw everyone else under the bus but himself. she said this is not about money, I laugh it off. I'm an ARMY, and I am so disturbed from what I'm hearing. Simply knowing what she has been doing with the money and attempting to make sure that BTS cannot monetarily survive makes her such a vile and disgusting excuse of a person. BTS worked so incredibly hard and are the sole reason that HYBE, Ador, Min Heejin, and any of the kpop groups under Min Heejin has any money in the first place. Hybe wouldn't even existed without BTS, but I knew that the moment HYBE became a thing some absolute shit would go down. This must be the shitshow. I have zero clue why she was able to get these agreements in the first place when tbh she isnt anyone amazingly special in comparison to everyone in the company (even the HYBE CEO). It's so absolutely gross that she just wants to decimate the lives of these 7 idols who are simply passionate about what they do, alongside all the other people and idols in the company just for money and power. You're 100 percent correct. She's behaving like a venture capitalist raising funds with HYBE's own money to sell them back their own sub label's stock through her stock options. Insane. A couple of things. 1. HYBE has a 10-year agreement with UMG (Universal Music Group - US Based) for music distribution rights. HYBE is global. You may have noticed recently how other artists like Dolly Parton are coming out with new projects announced by HYBE. Remember Scooter Braun is at HYBE USA. 2. BTS had to divest from their HYBE stock and sell it back to Bang PD when HYBE branched into the USA. So, BTS doesn't have stock anymore. 3. Evidently, New Jeans contributed around 5 percent to HYBE's income last year. I can't verify the number. With all of this being said, her $75 million in stock options with only a year to wait is MORE THAN ENOUGH. It definitely seems to me that she's far away from engaging in a good faith effort to collaborate with HYBE. She's literally biting the hand that feeds her. She has to go.

She reminds me of the villain in the Marry My Husband drama, Jung Soo-Min. The main character never suspected her to be the cause of most of her troubles in the first timeline because of Soo-Min's great acting skills. Heck, other people didn't suspect Soo-Min. The main character only gets a leg up when she gets the chance to go back in time with her knowledge of the "future." Only then was she able to see through Soo-Min's schemes. But without the aid of magic, the main character just died a lonely death. What I'm going with this is that it's very possible for someone bad to also be good at their job and charismatic, making other people sympathize with her and not realize that they are being fooled. It's only in hindsight that people realize they were being played. Unfortunately, magic doesn't exist in real life so you can't go back in time to do things differently.

In this instance, we're going to have to separate the two when I say HYBE isn't completely innocent in all this. What I can't wrap my brain around and it's like a bad taste in my mouth, is why the heck she decided to act like this now. All that time she's been with HYBE, all that time their major players (or her biggest obstacles according to some theories) were away serving their country, why has Ms. Min chose this particular time to act out like she has? If she wanted Ador to be a separate company by all means, then why didn't she have talks with the higher ups and work something out? What you said about the founder of SM conspiring with Ms. Min to take over Hybe makes a whole lot of sense! It’s funny that I never thought about that until you said it. But if you look at how BTS was treated in the beginning and now the jealousy of all of the other companies, as well as the decline of not just SM but also YG, it all fits. What I don’t understand is why Mr. SM would want revenge on Hybe, when SM has already benefitted from the connection…. I mean look at the collabs with Crush and J-Hope and Pys and Suga…. Great explanation, but these are all the side details. The one question she hasn’t addresses is ‘why wont she give Hybe the laptop she used’ the laptop is a Hybe asset, Hybe are her bosses and she does not have to right to refuse. Also if she is the victim and as innocent as she says she is, then why wont she give them the laptop, after all it would prove that she is in the right. If she doesn’t trust them why wont she have an independent lawyer be present when the laptop is reviewed. Why didn’t she go to court to block them, especially as she is an employee and the laptop belongs to Hybe and she feels that they don’t have the right to access it. These are some of the question’s she didn’t answer in her manipulative pity party. At the end of the day, the most shocking abd shameful thing about this whole debacle is the BSH did the dirty on BTS. The fact that this woman hot this many shares and BTS got less is the biggest con. HYBE needs to issue more share options to each member of BTS and it should ALWAYS be higher than everyone else and only second to BSH.

I am speechless at this news. My question is WHY did HYBE employ her in the first place? This sounds like the tail wagging the dog. I hope HYBE have good lawyers to stop this crazy person. When you think about BTS' hard work to get to where the company is today, this is shocking. ARMY needs to get ready to protest. HYBE sent a message to us all yesterday, through Weverse, that in addition to their regular legal team, they have hired an outside legal team. They understand how serious and out of control this has gotten and are not playing. I know from personal experience, how easy it is for one high-functioning mentally ill person to destroy countless lives.

The Korean economy lives in a bubble, like the one that caused the subprime mortgage scandal to explode. Banks issue almost unlimited credit cards to anyone, I don't know how long this will last. They are literally all in debt up to their necks, because they spend much more money than they earn. In April the 4 major record labels lost 7 to 12% on the stock market, I see a lot of suspicious movements from Saudi Arabia. Korea is too tasty a morsel.

Thank you for your excellent research and this coverage. I saw parts of MHJ's emotional press conference - gaslighting, pity play, victim mentality, deflecting, blame shifting, manipulating, smearing. Likely revision of history. Reminded me of Amber Heard in the Depp v Heard trial. Narcissist for sure. AH also managed to convince the public that she was a victim and JD was the aggressor until the televised trial exposed her for all the world to see. I'm baffled at how MHJ has managed to garner public support in Korea? SMH

After listening to you I really think something more sinister it at hand here. I think she came to HYBE for a certain reason and I believe she is working with someone outside of HYBE. If it wasn't for that whistleblower they probably would of gave this woman the power she needed to take over the whole company. Chairman Bang needs to step down after the smoke settles in this situation and just concentrate on being a producer. His judgement has put his company in jeopardy. It seems like he didn't want to tell this woman no and look where its got him. I really think HYBE will find more stuff on what this woman was really doing.

Thank you for 'following the money' and explaining that the real dispute stems from valuation of her 18% stocks. the whole 13.5% vs her asking 30% valuation. Hybe's multi point statement did clarify that the 2B won was her last year bonus. She said she was told it was to be 5B. She was mad that Hybe CEO got 1B for showing yearly losses while Ador showed overall profits. Hybe said this is in addition to her salary, long term incentives AND the stocks which you detail well. I don't know if her salary has been disclosed anywhere. So her salary and all these sweetheart deal incentives place her #1 paid Hybe employee by far. It also makes sense that she is started these renegotiations to have hefty capital to have a larger scale plan than just taking Ador. and that somehow LEE SM may be a background player.

@@ArmantoAlex13 yeah she’s trying to avoid the meeting but they’ve filed with the courts for a forces shareholders meeting where she’s legally made to attend. However it takes 4-5 weeks for the courts to action it once filed. This is why Hybe has been quiet and not doing anything other than legally. It takes time.

Hybe is doing the right thing not playing her ‘public sympathy’ game, instead taking the right steps to get rid of her! What the hell was Bang thinking when he brought her on…shaking my head! I would’ve immediately taken steps to punt her right back out of my company the minute she started pulling the diva card, making unreasonable demands. She’s setting businesswomen back years behaving like this in big business!
