Join me on my JOURNEY of experiencing this BRAND NEW ALBUM from Knocked Loose - "You won't go before you're supposed to". What an incredible production of music. Quite frankly I think this will sit towards the top for Album Of The Year, at least for me. I have been listening to Knocked Loose since 2017 and it's been really enjoyable to hear them refine and define their sound! Sit & Mourn and Take Me Home are my 2 favorites on this album... but the whole album is a masterpiece in my opinion.

yo great vid. Brian mentioned in the Downbeat Podcast that he lost a childhood friend to a drunk driver and i think alot of the lyric focus around the grief around that. also pretty much all of "A tear in the fabric of time" is about that

We saw them live almost a week ago. It was insane. They've refined their live sound so much. I heard later that there was a mosh pit on the upper balcony at the venue, which is kind of hilarious because it's basically just seats lol. "I never gave a fuck." Followed by the crunchy riff in Don't Reach for Me gets me every time. It's probably my favorite song and Blinding Faith. I think I recall in an interview with Isaac that they're like, layering the guitars in a way to create that "hell tone" they call it. It's so cool what we can do with technology now. I love this album so much. I want to see them live again. Also they're undeniably influenced a bit by Gojira. The pick scrapes, that outro of Sit and Mourn and the outro of The Calm that Keeps me Awake (Explosia like)

I love the idea of a mosh pit in the top of the venue hahaa that's just how hardcore they are. Also I feel the same about way but about that 3:4 poly rhythm riff in Blinding Faith, absolutley makes me want to me mosh

i'm IN LOVE with how the "dark" catches the lyricist at the end of the song in the middle of the "take me home" and then it's just the oppressive sounds of the guitar as if "dark" surrounds him cinematographic masterpiece

a lot of Bryan's earlier stuff with knocked loose touches on the overdose he had at a party and how that impacted him and im just guessing but i imagine that could be what hes alluding too with take me home

had to comment after you said "i wanna see this shit live" I saw them last week of May and holy shit was it awesome. brought my cousin who had never been to a concert before... lol he said it was the best time he's ever had. the entire place was a mosh pit. gotta love Bryan man

On the lyrics. I have heard this album around 100 times now, I still only know the easier to understand lyrics😅. So basically a word here or there. But I feel like I could play the drum parts by now 😁. In the past, lyrics were the most important part for me. Nowadays I don´t even bother to read them anymore. The vocals are just like another instrument and I also don´t question which notes the guitarists and bassist are playing.

Sometimes I hyper fixate on different instruments. Since I'm a drummer and Vocalist I'm inclined to pay attention to those, and I like learning lyrics just to sing/scream along but I get what you're saying haha

@Reaper_Queen_Music yeah, I try to play the drums as well, but not very long as of yet. That is probably why I focus on them a lot, too. But I just noticed I should have added that I understand the drummer of Knocked Loose, not knowing the lyrics 😁.

This whole record is phenomenal but sit and mourn by god. Fuck it. this whole album not a skippable song. First listen I thought I liked laugh tracks more. No, this album takes Laugh tracks lunch money.

I used to work with women from mexico, the dominican republic, and colobmia. They played music with this beat (1 a 2 +) and they described it to me a reggaeton.

@Reaper_Queen_Music Oh, no worries. I just think it's because the mixing on this record makes every song sound similar. Outside of the singles, sit and mourn is the only stand-out track. A Different Shade of Blue and A Tear in the fabric of life had amazing atmosphere and memorable riffs. If you listen to those records in full then hear the new one, it feels like they spent more time on the older songs. I think they went a little too experimental for my taste on this newer record. I also feel like they tried too hard to go viral rather than write a cohesive front to back album if that makes sense? I was kinda hoping their new release was more in line with the "upon loss" singles as well. Those 2 songs are better than their whole new album. Regardless, its doing great numbers, so I'm happy for them.

@@Whopperwhopper420 I can see what you’re saying. I loved the upon loss singles so I was very hype to get new music but I haven’t been drawn back to any songs in particular like I did with those releases.
