Well it was time to get rid of the factory handlebars that were uncomfortable to me and go for the KST Kustoms 12 inch bars called Double Trouble. This video is about riding out to KST Kustoms manufacturing warehouse in Breman, GA and get my new bars installed. Plus I also talk about crossing 5000 miles on my Road Glide.

Great video man! I was going to go with their bars since they do have a great price point and aren't inflated like the rest of the industry! Saw them at Sturgis working on bikes too! Great group of guys and a great company! Thanks for sharing man! Ride Safe out there!

My dad had recently installed 16 inch ape hangers on his road king and I’ve got 8 inch mini apes on my sportster. Your bars look very cool. Loving the road glide mods and rides.

Just ordered the KST Spearhead 12 in. Apes, Vanguard series. I'm having issues using the stock bars to do slow speed maneuvers. I sat on another Road Glide that had the KST bars and not only do they look good, but they felt comfortable in the arm position. My buddy has the 14 in. but they felt too high for me, and I am about 4 inches taller than him.

Yeah first time I got bars like this and I love them. Though I changed my seat to the saddleman road sofa and it raised me by about 2 inches. Now I need 14 inches tall bar lol.

I went with the BMC VINDIKTA HOOP-TEEZE bars in black and Empire heated grips in black for my 21 RGS. Got the grips here at the house, but still waiting on my bars to ship and deliver.

Hey that is what I was going to get. 2 reasons why I didn't get it and first was the wait time and second is that I ordered a sissy bar that was 1.25 diameter so didn't want bars that were 1.5 inches. But I am sure it will be worth the wait when you get it.

@@RideAboutNow I get that, the main reason I went for the HOOP-TEEZE was for the slow speed control and the long ride comfort without having to go with a T-Bar.

@@RideAboutNow I thought about going that route, really did, but in the end I like the view from the seat so no need to rearrange anything. Also I went the 12” bars so I shouldn’t have to replace or extend out the cables.

Great video. These bars look awesome! Want to order these for my 2021 RG Special but am not sure if I go for 12 or 14 in .. I am 6' 3''. Any suggestions ? TY

I am 5,9 and I think if I had to do it again I would go 14s. If you are over 6 ft then don't go for 12s. I would do at least 14s.

The next upgrade is that OEM pure crap suspension. Proud owner of a 2021 Roadglide with the worst OEM suspension I have ever ridden.

@@RideAboutNow I just put a pair of Super Shox on the rear after 300 miles so far I'm very happy with them. I'm putting Legends Axeos in the front in May.

That is what I was going to get but I had already ordered the sissy bar and that was 1.25 inch Dia.

Now that you have had your KST bars for quite some time, would you recommend changing from stock versus the KST. Do you definitely like the KST better?

Thomas, small world indeed. Speaking of the KST bars, I really like them especially better than the stock RG bars. If I had to do it over again I may choose 14" instead of the 12". But I'm happy with them. Reply

Its been a little more than 8 months since you has the 12" KST handlebars installed? Are you satisfied with them? Any back or shoulder pain? I still have the stock Roadglide bars and on long rides I get a lot of pain in my right shoulder and shoulder blade. Considering 12" Spearhead bars.

I have no issues with these bars and no pain at all. I had them pulled back about an inch and all was good. The stock handle bars gave me a wrist ache they are terribly angled towards the end. If I had to do it all over again, I would choose the 14inch bars. But I love these 12inch bars for now.

Did you get the road sofa on and did it change your position? I am debating on 12’s or 14’s 5/8 33 inch sleeve.

I got the Road Sofa but sold it after 2k miles as it never broke in for me. I couldn't site on it for more than 50 miles it was so hard. I was sitting high up by about a couple of inches.

@@RideAboutNow ya they take a while to break in more like 5000 miles. I’ve got about 4000 on on mine still stiff but getting better.

Bars vary from to $215 - $250 and the installation will be from $250 - $300.

@@kaos750moto2 for sure the dealer is anywhere from $700-900 bucks. At KST they charged me $300 as I had them install the heated grips as well. I was in and out in less than 1 hour.

I like those bars. Wasn’t a fan of the road sofa. Put you way higher than I like.

Take a look at Corbin. I installed the Classic Solo. I can sit in it all day.

@@jerryleckness8479 I had a Corbin on my Speed Triple. Seemed to be good quality, just really hard leather, but would’ve probably lasted for ever. Currently switching between 2up LowIST and an HD low profile solo.
