honestly idubbbz’s story is one of my favorites ever. i was always put off by his content when i was younger, but having ‘edgy’ friends that acted like him, it was pretty obvious to me that it came from poor decisions sourced in insecurity. but seeing him address these things and being humble enough to both fix his ways, try to make up for the damage he did, and admit his mistakes with such honesty, is really heartwarming and inspiring to see.

I frequently watched idubbz growing up as a young kid and honestly his apology seems fitting. Its a new time and new era and that decision was reasonable given his experience with fans and other people. I think idubbz puts too much blame on himself though. I never thought he genuinely hated those minorty groups and always assumed every knew it was shock-value, edgy content. I appreciate this gesture from him and i hope he can move on guilt-free and make content that he enjoys without hurting others

Just because he doesn't provide a list of how to do better doesn't mean he's not actively showing how a better person would act which is more effective, IMO, than any list could ever be.
