I really appreciate the excellent reviews that you present. I also like the fact that you are very fair/unbiased when comparing tools for review! I wish more tool reviewers were as ethical as you are! Thank you for taking the time to create these excellent videos! I am just curious--do you have a formal engineering background? Your attention to detail is outstanding!

Thank you appreciate that. Yes I do have an engineering background. I should have noted that bevel edges on small sockets like 1/4” may result in less surface contact with small shallow screw heads. Thats probably why Malco doesn’t bevel the edge like a regular mechanics socket. Thanks for watching! 👍

These tools are so handy especially as a tech..at work we bought a bunch of these threw away the handle. We couple thise with a klien 12n1. Right. I always remove the bit. I’m not sure having a bevel edge on the 1/4 and 5/16 sockets is a good thing as they come into less contact with shallow screw heads. Thanks for watching!

I noticed that though the milwaukee bits dont go on the klein shaft, all the klein bits go on the klein shaft, which includes the larger flip set they make that goes up to 3/4 so you can use all these bits with the milwaukee nut driver

I’m a hvac tech and love the Klein 7 in 1 driver. I use it in an impact driver daily. It sees extremely heavy use. My only gripes are that the magnets break on the Klein over time and if the socket accidentally isn’t fully inserted in the spline it will get stuck sometimes so severely that you have to put it in a vise and use a punch to get it out. Has happened to me twice. The Milwaukee will not do that. I’m going to get the Milwaukee and try it out.

@lorenfalk2339

Have them both. I prefer the Klein because the magnet seems to hold the screws better and is easier to clean shavings off compared to the Milwaukee recessed magnet. The flat edge of the Klein sockets hold a nut/screw head longer and don't cam-out like Milwaukee. Milwaukee bits also rust fairly quickly.
@projectpinehills

I have the Klein and my biggest peeve is that the 1/4-5/16 cannot be stored on the shaft when using the other sockets. Is the Milwaukee version identical in that flaw?
@projectpinehills
@projectpinehills Ай бұрын
Why can’t your store the 1/4 & 5/16?
@alhk13
@alhk13 Ай бұрын
@@projectpinehills There's something in the middle of the socket preventing it from sliding all the way on the shaft. Say I wanted to use the 3/8 socket for multiple nuts/bolts, where does one store the 1/4 - 5/16 socket? I still love the tool. I just think there's a design flaw in the ability to store that one socket. mine ends up in the bottom of the pouch. Are you able to store the smallest socket on the shaft when using another socket on the driving end?
@PeterTrimboli
@PeterTrimboli Ай бұрын
I already own the old style klein without the 9/16 with the hvac handle so i can have the bit storage and use the 1/4" as a bit driver it isnt the best bit holder but saves you from walking over to get a bit driver if you just have to drive a few screws if youre doing more than a couple screws its worth the walk cuz you get frustrated constantly sinking screws with the klein nut driver bit holder

I think the biggest benefit to the Milwaukee is the flange that keeps you from knocking sockets off. I think not having a bevel on the smallest socket sizes is a good thing because you come into more contact with shallow screw heads.

I really wish i would have found this video earlier. I bought a 15 in 1 and this new hex driver hoping to make the icon combo like the klein, but that failed horribly. The milwaukre csnt use 1/4 in bits on any functional way and the 15 in 1 shank is only held in by a magnet rarher than the detent collar. Absolutely awful. It pulled out when i was just toying around with it in the truck. Cant imagine how annoying that would be in the field. Literally unpacked them and immediately returned them, really missed the mark on both drivers.

Number two: Almost all the companies in the world that make power tools have some models that they manufacture in China or nearby countries . But that doesn't diminish the quality of the tool because Milwaukee has the very high standard and quality . And third, Milwaukee is the best company in the world and they make the largest amount of power tools in the world !!!
