I pray for you. Keep fighting but no more kids until you can upgrade to better living conditions for them. It's not fair to the precious kids to have to live in this environment.

Public housing tends to have mold growth. Insects tend to creep in. Faulty plumbing is also common. The best thing to do is maintain your space. And keep up on the repairs of your area.

I live there, it's a bad place sometimes, housing sucks, the leak's really suck my little brother woke me up and boom. The best thing is i have a spanish mom so shes a clean freak.

Same here. I was once I NYCHA resident. I reside in PA now. I went down the path of healthcare as a surgical technician. Public housing is a great stepping for you to get elevated off your feet.

The main reason the apartment management and maintenance staff haven't helped these families is because they don't see low income families as human beings...Well, low income families have a right to be treated with common dignity and respect just like everyone else does...Just treat people the way you want to be treated...People love to shame, laugh, and make fun them...Let me tell you something just keep living because you "NEVER" know what life might throw at you...And you will have to be on the news telling your story just like these families had to about rats, roaches, and leaking plumbing etc...😮K...I pray for the families and God bless them...😞😇🙏...!!!

I’m sorry but once I see ppl living like this that already have school ages kids then a newborn, I immediately don’t feel sorry for them🤷🏻‍♀️. I understand sometimes ppl end up in NYCHA because of different life situations but there’s no excuse for continuing to have kids when you are already living like this. I swear the only reason ppl keep having kids is because they think that they’ll be moved up on the housing waiting list to a bigger apartment w/ more bedrooms.

Y'all only do this to black people cause wtf does that have to do with someone not doing their job. Nycha isn't suppose to be dirty, it's supposed to house the low income. so them being there isn't the problem. You should see the NYCHA buildings in the Jewish neighborhoods in queens, it gets messy but management is there on the dime to keep up the apartments. Like people are there everyday cutting grass, sweeping, doing their jobbbb. The baby is already living so to say this is so victim blaming

Livin in housing is what you make it I know people with some nice apt in housing as well as people with nasty apt meaning if you don't speak up you will be living in a disgusting conditions the new housing is those affordable buildingd they building all over everyone is trying to get in one of those buildings

Bullshit you are supposed to go to them they are legally binded to clean that mold or anything else. Let the manager live there then and see what you go through.I have been through some of the same things not to that extinct but there are so many manager's who don't want to do shit until you raise hell.It happens in Cali also...someone needs to step up for the people and help instead of making it harder call the health department,I'll bet you they move there asses then...
