Some people don't wanna pay more for the XL version. The regular N3DS is easier to carry around and has the faceplates.

I would never want the regular sized after using the XL, faceplates or cheaper price or whatever. Not worth the loss of screen size and the hand strain I used to get on the normal 3DS.

I'd rather have a system that's comfortable to carry in my pocket.

The normal model didn't sell as well as the XL model in Japan. That's probably why they are only releasing a XL model over here. Not sure about how well the normal did in EU and Australia though.

XL's sell infinitely better in America than the smaller versions.

You have to also realize though that by the time the XL came out the 3ds was just starting to get its legs in the US due to pretty much no games for the first year and half to 2 years. Then when the XL came out they discontinued the smaller version. So of course the XL is going to do better because it's readily available whereas the smaller 3ds has been discontinued for about 2 years.

I think you underestimate how much of a jump the New 3DS is over the OG 3DS. That thing was severely underpowered. I just wish more games were made to take advantage of the hardware, since games that weren't optimized, basically run identically to the OG 3DS. They had to do that for compatibility, but devs should have updated their games.

T Yoshisaur Munchakoopas those faceplates are far to busy and clash with the system. They just look ugly IMO and I don't understand the fuss. That being said, portability and cheapness are good points and even though I myself was planning on getting the XL anyway, I can understand why people are upset about not getting the regular sized one.

There's another problem, the new 3DS XL is coming out but without a 3DS charger, that means you'll need to use your DSi or your 3DS charger or just buy a separate charger for the 3DS LL XL

Sir Sandvich Maybe the game is a digital download like The Wind Waker limited edition Wii U console. Also, the New 3DS *should* come with a charger with the US release. It seems that only the other regions don't come with one and it wouldn't make sense to *not* include it now.

It'd be better to sell on eBay than to trade to GameStop. You'd get way more than $100 for a limited edition! ;)

But I don't want to lose all of my data/memory.
