Today I take a Quick Look at the newly announced Ghostbusters figures from the Hasbro panel at Wonder con 2024.

These look great! I'd love to see Hasbro keep doing retro properties in the o-ring style. The A-Team would be perfect for this.

They can do so much for the plasma series. For example they could do rgb, egb and idw gb!!!!!

plenty of options. I guess it comes down to sales. there were an awful lot of plasma series figures on clearance and being shipped to bargain shops

Interesting that they have chosen the same articulation that we had with some late 70s early 80s figures like A-Team and Buck Rogers. Will be nice to animate. I prefer this 3.75" scale as for me it's easier to display due to space. These figure looks good and prices look good.

I only collect 3.75in figures. I've got Star Wars, Aliens, Predator, Robocop, so its gonna be awesome adding Ghosbusters to the shelf. Can't wait for these.

Didn't the Hasbro plasma series team acknowledge the fans wanted a 12th scale ecto 1 back with the original afterlife version, they the fans were pissed the 6 inch figures weren't to scale!

Love the fact these are 3.75 inch scale. But HATE the GI Joe articulation. Looks cheap. Why not make the figures w/the level of articulation - or closer to - the Star Wars Vintage Collection?

I doubt hasbro plans to do much more with ghostbusters figures unless this set sells as well as the proton pack and two in a box haslab did. I assume that because this year is the 40th anniversary of Ghostbusters, hasbro was mandated to release some sort of figures, it's like how we've technically got figures from Frozen Empire, the Fright Features that are aimed at kids, but they refuse to return to their 6" scale which I would've preferred. If anyone is interested I kitbashed a Grooberson using an old man Peter Venkman body, the unmasked ant-man head and a £10 red coat off aliexpress and it turned out fairly well.

Around $100 for the Ecto-1 and all the Ghostbusters. I am on board as long as all 4 Ghostbusters can actually fit in the Ecto-1. I really hope that is the case and I really hope this does well because I would love to see a "The Real Ghostbusters" version with cartoon accurate figures and a cartoon accurate version of the Ecto-1 with fold up Ecto-2 stored in the back. That would be EPIC! As much as I like 6" figures the 3.75" O-ring size makes vehicles more affordable.

Thanks for the review! I'm an o-ring guy so these are definitely on my radar for June 8th! I'm assuming preorder will be on Hasbro's website or Pulse?

Long shot, but I'd like to see Hasbro grab the Back To the Future 3.75 inch license from Super 7 and produce o ring figures of Marty, Doc, Biff, and George as a four figure pack and the Delorean from the first film.

Wow I’ve always thought it’d be cool if they made Ghostbusters in GIJoe style and here we are. I didn’t like GIJoe but always loved playing with the toys at my friends house.

I already have 6 inch figure so I was hoping for an ecto-1 that size but these are pretty cool and I’m wondering does the ecto-1 have working lights and sounds?

I would have loved an Ecto to that scale too! how amazing would it have been to pose with the plasma series figs 😃 I’ve seen nothing to say that it will have lights/sounds on it - my gut says no unfortunately. The version that Hasbro sold for Afterlife didn’t have those features - I expect the same here. thanks for the comment! 🙌

The pre order goes live on June 8th (Ghostbusters day) but I haven't seen much on where it will be released. At a minimum it'll be available on Hasbro Pulse although I expect additional retailers to get announced before pre order date 🙂

I’ve been holding out hope for so long that we’d see more plasma series figures. I honestly thought that we’d have gotten some with the new movie. But this course change might mean that we get even more figs in future. I guess it all depends on its success. thanks for commenting 🙂

Considering how piss poorly Hasbro has handled this license, they may have alienated too many people that had already invested in the Plasma Series.

The figure detail is not that impressive as I see here at this point. Even "at that scale" there are figures that have blown these away in much finer details decades ago. The price needs to much lower. And it can be. With that, it's a great sized figure set. And an Exto 1 is simply cool.

Also, this is "my scale." But, Hasbro is taking easy ways out and should not be rewarded for such an easy un-original and un-imaginative products.
