Good video Ron but wish you'd guard the stick, fundamental to teach rotor management from day 1. Stick should have been forward and left whilst you taxied downwind. Also always taught to come to a proper full stop i.e. brake to standstill then stick forward before engaging rotor brake and taxiing as this is statistically the most dangerous phase of flight for a roll over in thermic or gusty cross wind conditions.

If the rotors are not turning, what is the reason for that?

I believe the first few hours is a mutual analysis of the Instructor's assessment of the student's knowledge ,abilities and personality type and conversely the students interface with thE instructors approach to the dissimulation of knowledge. Patience of both parties is necessary while this assessment of each other is ongoing. It's like learning to dance for the first time with thE ultimate goal to interface with a machine to be gracefully safe in the air, without stepping on each others toes. The dance, of course is the exchange of knowledge. Someone once said, the mind is not ready to learn until the question is asked. When question is asked then the dance begins. The instructor must present the knowledge with sufficient enthusiasm to stimulate curiosity on the part of the student. Each lesson must be presented as if it were the first and indeed, not to disregard the lessons of the past, if the instructor is imparting new knowledge, it is indeed the first lesson. Patience, Grasshopper, patience. Captain Ron, I believe has a higher level of understanding that each student dances differently.
