I really want to love these, but am having a hard time. The concept is phenomenal. Unfortunately I haven’t had great luck with them. They really struggle to break free bolts with an impact. I’m not sure what the material is made of, but they don’t hit like standard impact sockets. I love that you can convert a 22 12 point wrench to a 6 point, but they fall out. Beyond frustrating if you’re working in a tight space. They need magnets or somthing that keeps them tight in whatever application without having to buy “another specialized ratchet”. I like that I can get a wrench around it, then put a impact through and help turn as I’m impacting. But beyond that, they need some improvements.
@thingsmen
@thingsmen 5 ай бұрын
Appreciate your input. Yes they are on the lighter side so they won’t “hit” as hard as normal impacts. You could also take a small rag or piece of duct tape and wedge between the socket and the wrench. That will help it stay in place. 👍🏻

@@mg8718 They really aren't. Pittsburgh stuff is made in India mostly, some China. Where the metals aren't hardened whereas on the Quinn and Icon items it is. You can feel the difference in their ratchets as you apply torque.

They’ve been on the shelf for over a week now. 🤷🏼‍♂️ Most stores restock weekly too. I guess early bird gets…🪱.

Only one more month to go before they are available at your local HF. Good thing is the price has dropped by $5 since then.
