The new Stihl MSA300c chainsaw with the AP500s battery versus the MSA220c with the AP300s.
MSA 220c

24m/s chain speel
Msa 300c
4,5 kg ex battery
30m/s chain speel
The new MSA300C with the AP500s definitely feels like it has double the power of the MSA220C with the AP300s.
Using the MSA220C with the AP500S is giving it a extra kick and is still a nice battery powered chainsaw for smaller tree work!

here in portugal kind esear available, i have two AP 500 i have try it on the trimer 135 and on msa 220 for those the price difrence between the 500 and the 300C maybe is not worted, now if you planning to buy the msa300 then you need the 500 the 300C only runs the msa300 in low speed.

Could you test whether it would make any difference in power, if you switched the ap300s with the ap500s in the msa 220?

Hi! I did check that out, didn’t make it in the video. the MSA300c will only run on eco mode with the ap300s battery. The MSA220 runs perfect on the ap500s if it has more power from it i can’t really tell. But the battery will last longer at least..

HI ! I have the msa 220c , the ap300s and ap500s , I also did check out with my brushcutter fsa 135r , and I didn´t notice , any difference in power .

I have the 161T the 220C and the trimmer 135 and i have the batteries 200, 300, 300C and the 500C, It be little more expensive but I think is a better deal buy 2 300C that one 500C. (the one 161T in my opinion yes is smaller but is much better quality that the 220C, the 161T on it's class is a work horse)

@@HovenierMMaarsen I have both batteries AP300S and AP500S and I have both chainsaws 220C and MSA300, on the 220C I seldom use the AP500S for it makes the saw heavier and in regard to power I feel no difrence.

I have both saws, the MSA300 is defnetly faster no doubt about, the down side is the battery time. Cutting oak in full power mode and using about 80% of the sward length the AP500S battery barely last15 minutes.

Wat een beest is die Msa 300!. Loopt de zaag warm bij intensief gebruik? Ik vel regelmatig bomen tot 60 cm en die zaag ik gelijk in stukken als ze op de grond liggen. Ik heb wat accuzagen van DeWalt en Makita gehad, maar deze liepen enorm warm na ongeveer 10 minuten intensief gebruik. De DeWalt is zelfs letterlijk in de brand gevlogen, in garantie een nieuwe gekregen en deze had weer hetzelfde probleem. Ik hoop nu dus dat de Stihl het beter gaat doen.

Daar heb ik nooit last van gehad met mn MSA220c, de MSA300c heeft wel een over hitting indicatie lampje dus lijkt me wel mogelijk anders heeft het lampje geen nut..😅 heerlijk apparaatje hoor!💪🏼

I'd like to see that test with them both running at 24m/s. See the strength and battery life as other videos seem to show the MSA300 is still much stronger even on 24m/s than the MSA220

Do these saws have any vibrations to the handles like a gas saw?

i have bout of themes neither one have much vibration. Just if you using the msa 300 in full power mode even with AP500 battery your cuthing time is kind short.
