Thriller Bark kinda got glossed over, but holy shit, imagine the moment of Brook seeing this crew sail up, Laboon included. Also, love Inazuma, but out of everyone from Impel Down, I feel like Mr 2. Bon Clay deserves it after everything he went through.

I recall around the time of the timeskip when we had to wait a month for new chapters there was a huge debate about who would be the next Straw Hat between Boa, Jinbe, and Margaret, and the idea for Margaret that always made sense to me was that Boa couldn't leave Amazon Lily, so she would send Margaret in her stead to help and protect Luffy for her. Margaret would then be both friends with Robin and Nami, but also under orders to keep them away from Luffy. On a separate note, if Koby joined the crew then he wouldn't be at Marinford to delay Akainu and allow Shanks to show up and stop everything, not to mention keep Luffy from being killed. Perhaps we'll just say Helmeppo did it instead.

I think one way that you could pull this off in-universe would be to have all of the joke characters such as Boodle and his dog stay with the Going Merry instead of abandoning it. Make up some story about going off to find a master craftsman to repair it. THEN about 200 chapters later, have them triumphantly return to save the asses of the main Strawhat crew, each of them having taken a level in badass in the meantime.

You forgot to bring up the fact that Crocus and laboon would be present when they meet both Brook and Rayleigh. The interactions their could be what reveals that Crocus was a member of rogers crew. Also I could see most of the members staying aboard the ship acting as guards rather then front line fighters.

This crew would be overpowered, imagine if Dorry, broggy, and haruideen( or however you spell it) joined the crew , also I would love to see your explanation for every single arc with this crew lmao

Koby - After he joins he doesn't do much until Arlong Park where he awakens his observation haki in a similar manner as he did during Marineford War, there he wins a fight against a fishman by dodging every attack and cleverly landed punches. He starts properly training with Zoro to get physically stronger. After timeskip he's a master of observation, having a degree of future sight and being able to sense enemy's weak points. His role on the crew could be that of a chore boy, which would certainly lead to many funny gags. Chouchou(gonna ignore the mayor since I don't think he fits nicely) - His main role will be espionage due to his small size and considerable intelligence, he won't probably get into any big fights(unless he ate a devil fruit). After timeskip he would have become smarter and perhaps a bit bigger with stronger jaws to defend himself against riffraff but his biggest contribution in fights will be sabotaging the enemy. His role on the crew would be that of a mascot as well as the spy. Gaimon - He I imagine in this version of reality would eat a rare Zoan devil fruit on the island before joining, or perhaps a devil fruit would be only thing left of the treasure he was guarding and so the crew lets him eat it. His role depends on what animal it is but for example if he ate some mythical type of tortoise Zoan he could be the tank of the crew. His role could be a biologist, possibly leading to fun relationship of fellow scientific sympathy between him and Robin. Ipponmatsu - At the begining he would be somewhat useless similar to Koby, only serving perhaps as Zoro's squire of sorts but we could discover that his grandpa was not only a shopkeep as he was but also a blacksmith who actually made the Yubashiri, meaning Ipponmatsu could know the basics and build on those throughout the story. While not a fighter, he could certainly smack people around with a blacksmithing hammer, after timeskip he would probably get way more buff and become amazing at blacksmithing. His role in this case would be of a blacksmith, which would play well with both Usopp and Franky in improving Sunny and making wacky gadgets. Going to leave both Crocus and Laboon at the Reverse mountain, would love for Laboon to come along but I don't think it fits well. Vivi and Caroo - I don't think I need to talk about the two of them much. For the same reason as Crocus and Laboon, I'll leave Dorry and Broggy on Little Garden, so far I actually think Strawhats are still quite balanced and giants would throw that off. Pell - He's obviously strong enough so no need for discussion there. After timeskip he could become awakened, giving us better insight into what Zoan awakenings are like. As for his role, I think as a hawk he would be an amazing lookout, funnily enough spending his time in the bird's nest on the ship. Cricket - Again, he's strong enough. His role would be similar to that of Robin, historian/mythologist and a treasure hunter. After timeskip he would probably worked hard on armament haki(hakies up his fist, shouting "Black Bell!"). Plus being a diver for many years he could be the one always saving Luffy when he almost drowns. Wyper - Once again, strong enough. After timeskip he would be physically stronger and perhaps have some new weapons that use dials in new unique ways. His role could be the weapon's expert, similar to Curiel on Whitebeard's crew. Tongit and Shelly- ... Tongit could eat a devil fruit? I am not a wizard okay? Paulie - We know Paulie and what he can do, after timeskip he'd very likely develop his rope techniques even further, probably being able to imbue his ropes with haki making them almost unbreakable. His role would be of a second shipwright and before Jinbe probably helmsman. Camie and Pappag - These two would certainly not be fighters, while Pell might teach Camie some self defense, their main role on the crew is that of fashion designers and Camie also being a seamstress, which would actually be nice to see since it could easily justify the crew changing outfits between arcs and also we could have amazing scenes of the crew trying on the new Criminal line. Marguerite - She is obviously a great archer and sufficiently strong to join. After timeskip she could have been taught by Gloriosa to be of assistance to Luffy and gotten way better at archery, not on par with Usopp but having previous skill in haki she could compensate in that manner. Her role would be just an archer but I think that could work. Inazuma I'll leave with Ivankov, I think they are too important for the Revolutionary army and fit better as a foil for Ivankov. Boa I'll also leave, mainly because I think she would be better as one of the captains of the Strawhat Grand Fleet. So all in all: Luffy, Koby, Zoro, Chouchou, Gaimon, Usopp, Nami, Sanji, Ipponmatsu, Vivi, Caroo, Chopper, Robin, Pell, Cricket, Wyper, (Tongit+Shelly), Paulie, Franky, Brook, Camie, Pappag and Marguerite. Honestly, with how I thought out their fates, I do think the crew like this is fairly balanced and within reasonable range of strength(with the exceptions of Chouchou, Camie and Pappag who would really be non-fighters besides self-defense and perhaps some self-sacrifice emotional moments).

with such a large crew, i wonder how they will take the Ussop and Luffy fight, and Brooke wanted to play his crew last song for Laboon, and now he can!. Plus I bet they will learn about Krotus from either Buggy or Rayleigh. I mean this is such a giant crew, and yet you can think of something for all of them to do, like having Coby just trying to decipher all the conspiracies he has, which to make better turns out to be true like with Ussops lies. Back to the Ussop and Luffy fight, I can imagine it like this. Krokus would view it as Luffy taking his title as captain a bit more seriously, but would still welcome Ussop back. Broggy and Gory will most likely see it similar to their situation and understand that it is a duel of brothers in arms, and would love to have Ussop back when he does come back. Vivi would try to make them not fight but would be stopped by Pell, explaining that as Captian, this is Luffy's duty, and they can't interfere. Now the other ones I do have more trouble with, but I hope to god somebody takes this and just makes a giant fanfic out of it.

Here after watching the "What if" video on Vivi. Loved it! However, I think if she did join the crew, her standing would be a *lot* higher. Aside from Zoro, Vivi is the ONLY other person who's challenged Luffy's actions as a captain and got Luffy to follow her as well. I'm of course talking about the time when they reached Drum Island and were surrounded (I fucking love that scene): The monster trio was about to fight the citizens after they open fired at Sanji and even Vivi, but she dragged Luffy back then bowed down to the citizens pleading for help (she's a princess btw). Then she accuses Luffy, "You're a failure as a captain. Impulsiveness doesn't solve anything. Think about what happens to Nami if we were to die!" Or smt like that. Luffy understand and follows suit, bowing down to them (despite his pride as captain) and requests them to save their friend. Such an amazing moment! Vivi is a princess, and as we even see in the flash back at Drum Island, she has that leader mentality ever since she's so little! She'll be the political head of the crew and will be probably be the main decidion maker for Srawhat pirate's next course of action. Luffy and Vivi will be the main deciders of what'll they do next while Nami uses her intellect to actually carry out or reach thay goal. I'd be very interested to see her interaction with Luffy and Zoro during Usopp's and Luffy's fight as well. Oda writes characters so well! BUT!!!! But!... ( *Teary eyes* ) WHAT'S HAPPENED TO VIVI???!!! Is she alive??? Did the "great Imu" walked to the empty throne with Vivi's picture because she's the "light" they wanted to eliminate?? What news did Shirahoshi hear about Vivi to make her react like that??? :( :( *SOB* ... . . .

Wyper is the only choice for Skypeia. He was as strong as luffy, hes smart, has great willpower, and would work well with the crew. Also his development of the dials along with Ussop would be cool asf

Ipponmatsu could even have a similar goal as Tashigi, as he did say something about how pirates are usually a bunch of petty lowlifes, so when he sees Zoro, his view on swordmen changes. He could also be a kinda pseudo simp/rival to Nami because he did like money, so he would have similar money eyes as her, but also would probably try to take the money from her.

I look at the Grand Fleet as characters who Goda Sama would have put in the immediate crew but it would have been way too much to draw and go through for everyone. Definitely great move to do a Grand fleet.

Tekking, I can't believe you missed this when you specifically mentioned the need for more space. At Long-Ring Long-Land, we obviously take the Sexy Foxy from the Davy Back Fight. Ships count as nakama too in this world.

Imagine what Shushu would've been able to tell us through Chopper once he joined. It could become an amazing spy duo! :O You should do a version of this but with characters from the movies or games :D Also for those that didn't count that's 25 crewmembers (Not including Luffy) and 5 companions total so far.

Imagine if Pauly joined and then eats the rope rope fruit (which would be similar to Doffy's fruit.) Then have Pually fight Doffy briefly (instead of Sanji that one time) and after he gets beaten he copies some of Doffys techniques but with rope. (He could also focus a lot on using the ropes to create fire (rope burn). End of series Pauly would be as strong as Doffy was and maybe in the last war he would fight Lucci and Kaku at the same time and still barely manage to win.
