However, I found a clue in a recent article with Yellowjackets show runners, Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson for the April Edition of Fangoria Magazine. The clues in this article debunk a long held theory surrounding the identity of Pit Girl, confirmation of another potential, and more on where season 2 is heading.

the mouse wasn't stealing the bear meat. javi was eating the bear meat. if a mouse did it, they'd hardly notice anything missing.

@@Ladedadeda2 the mouse ... AND Akeelah. I think Mari is actually stealing the meat and turns on Akeelah. The girls "assumed" Javi was taking the bear meat, but he never confirmed that. MARI's messy ass is busy "stacking" the deck (letting her "friends" see which cards they are choosing while constantly giving Misty & Crystal the shaft, lol) this also makes me lean into the theory that Mari is pit girl. Misty looked pretty dang happy to be eating whoever was in that pit in the first season's pilot. And Mari has been a major B to Misty (and several others) for this whole season. She thinks her little position as "the cook" is keeping her safe. But I don't think she is. It's not that hard to add some water to a pot and throw in some frozen bear meat, lol. She's not Gordon Ramsay ffs 😄

For quick reference: I graduated HS the same year as the characters. The song Violet by Hole-with front runner infamous Courtney Love-who was married to Nirvana front man Kurt Cobain. That song is the female angst anthem of the early 90s, mine included! Young Nat IS pure angst, and that song goes great with the already great soundtrack.

I graduated the same year too and young Natalie reminds me so much of me when I was that age. I was a jock/freak and I remember having the same attitude. Hahaha. All the songs from the soundtracks are so nostalgic for me.

Yeah i mean he gets a boner when she does her weird voodoo on him and also thinks about Lottie when he's having sex with Nat. If the writers don't mean it to be sexual, they're actually doing a bad job.

Lauren Ambrose definetely upped the game here with her acting. I never knew she was gonna be this good. Man she definetely IS a great addition to the cast wow.

i definitely think that cop is suspicious as hell...like he is a cop investigating so does he not know callie is 16 years old? he's definitely doing illegal shit by supplying her with alcohol and potentially sleeping with her...i won't be surprised if the case gets thrown out because of how he got that information cause that dude should probably be in prison

I think that there's something fishy about Walter. I do think he's Misty's soulmate, and will eventually be an ally, but there's definitely something up with him.

Oh there's DEFINITELY something up with him! He's constantly trying to drag personal information out of Misty. He even referred to himself as a 'Moriarty' looking for his 'Sherlock'. If he wanted to be her partner he'd probably call himself her 'Watson'. He's definitely sus.

Oh for sure. The Sherlock comment, but also in their bedtime routines, she listens to birds but he listens to cats...their predator. Everyone's been saying he's connected to Adam, but I think he's actually connected to Crystal/Kristen. Like maybe a childhood best friend or camp buddy...that explains his mutual love and in depth knowledge of musicals.

Violet, by HOLE (not THE HOLE, 😄) has a very important hook that goes "And I get what I want/And I never want it again". I don't know who your girl was that did the breakdown but she totally missed the mark because this song is about drug abuse which makes it perfect for Nat. I was a teenager in this era and like the song Miss World ( which plays in the first season when we see Nat getting out of rehab) it's very much about self-destruction and not victimization by someone else. Which it makes it perfect metaphor for both Nat's drug addiction as well as whatever possessed them in the wilderness to feed their ravenous hunger with the bodies of their friends and teammates. 💖

2:02 considering her character name in the credits is listed as “Teen Mari,” I think she survives. Jackie and other ones we know didn’t survive are not listed as “teen” anything. The ending credits give spoilers to who lives I think.

Speaking of shauna I'm excited to see a theory on her since the season finale! You thought she was amping up for murder/violence but it goes a little different, can't wait to see your thoughts on the hunt re-enactment in the finale and what happens to the victim of the hunt (keeping this comment spoiler free as possible!)

Without a doubt, YJ's biggest strength is its cast, especially the girls in the past. With such bizarre subject matter in the hands of lesser actors, it would.come off as campy and absurd.

i wrote this before. travis said nat was right i believe either nat is the white moose hella powerful so her giving her blood as a sacrifice to bring back to life haha love you Amy Lee or a spirit is in Javi, a skinwalker.. look at his dumbass not talking and knowing people. him being dead for 3 month idk how he cant remember.

No way Lottie is Antler Woman. I think Antler Woman is a spirit that eventually will be able to manifest via their worship/suffering, possibly inhabiting a dead person's body (maybe Javi). It's obvious that Lottie is afraid of Antler Woman manifesting again. Remember how she offered her blood and said something like "I hope that's enough" or whatever? Also, no way a mouse ate enough meat to be noticed. Interesting catch with the Facebook reference. However, that Facebook thing is a modern concept, why would it even be in that yearbook? Most likely it is just a joke. Mari is dead.

I think the AQ is Jackie. Or at least, representing Jackie. She becomes their idol - she was their first sacrifice and they pay tributes to her remains. A la Lord of the Flies.
