Few list mistakes there my T'au friend. You cant double up on shield drones anymore for Crisis battlesuits, only the Enforcer commander and Coldstar. Also you dont need to take marker drones with your strike teams as they already have the markerlight keyword (take gun drones for extra daka instead 😉. Breachers (with a cadre fireblade) would be way more effective for the list also (but i get its personal preference also). No shame in running the Strike set up as breachers 😊. Also do you own any Devilfish? They would come in handy. Love the channel btw, keep on trucking ❤

A few units of Breachers with a Fireblade leader could help with controlling the mid board objectives . 30 guided shots with lethal hits with bonus vs opponent on objectives seems like fun . I like your idea of Using broadsides and hammerheads to blow the vehicles up but with the breachers instead of strike teams to focus on the disembarking infantry

In all my years of playing against and watching the Tau, I only now noticed that if the crew exited the side hatches of the Hammerhead Gunships while the engines were on, they'd immediately be sucked into the engine intakes. Grim dark!

I would guess that when it's idle and off loading troops the engines aren't taking in enough air to suck in the troops. The devilfish literally have AC in them. I don't think they would overlook the transport killing it's own troops.

@@TwitchyMofo I mean, your logic is sound. That said, I just can't shake the imagery of a Tau pilot getting in, realizing he forgot his cherished data slate on some support equipment outside, and then dashing out the door only to be turned into a fish fillet.

Ahh the orc player is feeling the wrath of variance. The problem with the human condition is we remember the bad some much more than the good. So is the way with our dice, variance shall give and variance shall take away, best just ride that wave and enjoy the journey ;). Just realised how philosophical I am feeling today haha

tougher units like riptides and harder to target units like ghostkeels may be necessary for T'au armies now to help them push into the mid board or at the least if you are playing mont'ka slow broadside units may not be the best. or move them around more since you can get assault on them by guiding if they take a single gun drone in a unit.

@@StrikingScorpion82The broadsides can move 11" if you use the stratagem to auto advance 6". I think a unit of 3 missilesides in mont'ka could replace the fireknifes. They already reroll to wound having twin linked weapons, and rather than having an enforcer reducing ap they just have a better save and more wounds. The non Sunforge crisis suits seem very fragile and meh when it comes to their firepower.

@@rathstar missile crisis wouldn't be bad for a long range flanking force but for just raw survivability and damage broadsides win out most times, I do want to try out a 3 suit missileside team in retaliation cadre for strength 8 ap -2 to hold the middle.

The marker lights to ignore cover, plus lethal hits with montka, make ap 1/2 legitimately brutal, I’ll miss getting into it with my breachers and Devilfish but long range firepower with this combo is brutal

Breachers in Devilfishes is arguably the absolutely best fire power the Mont'ka detachment can conjure up tbh. Art of war guys spamming them in their list for this detachment. They can do some insane stuff, so you'll definitely be using them here don't worry about that :)

@@tomashogberg8514 true, plus firblade for +1 shot should do work still, just feel that with breachers more expensive having 3 or so fireteams for obsec and observing is good with broadside/riptide suits.

@@WingsaberE3 Ah right, this was played with codex points values was it? Tha's definitely gonna change a lot when the MFM drops soon enough. Seen many play with current MFM points instead as that's more likely to be in line with their actual points cost :)

I think some of the knocks from the new codex may be alleviated with the digital points - those will have been drafted before the last N munitorum field manuals made some T'au cheaper Also -- feeling the crisis suits are less punchy; if GW is moving across the board to reduce the number of "death star" units, that could work . Let's see if Abbadon still gets 10 terminators to deep strike with once that codex rolls out

so far 2 wins out of 8 games shown that i've seen on youtube so far. i don't see anyone utilise kroot for screening, slow down enemy charges etc and helps out objective control. even in montka everyone seems to sit back with tau, so strange. nice preview but try sacrificing cheap units to hold armies back, many scout, infiltrators etc i've won many battles even as kauyon just using kroot to screen. ✌️😂

how can you have so many drones? I've heard you can only have one of each drone, so each unit of crisis suits can only have 1 gun drone, 1 shield drone, and 1 marker drone for a maximum of 3 drones.

@@555tork you sure about that? the way they wrote the rule, it could have been done clearer. I chose to read it as no duplicate drones in the unit, period. You could be right, but the wording of the rule isn't the most clear.

@@skarnak1 the exact wording is "any number of models can each be equipped with up to of the following, but cannot take duplicates" though I can see the argument for the no duplicates in the unit.

If you need more markerlights, try getting a team of pathfinders. They can guide a unit twice or two units in one shooting phase.

To mirror something you have to make a f.e. an latex or soft silicone (strong enough that it's formstable wenn removed) imprint, use this to make a miniture and connect them base to base ... awesome miniture and great idea!!! Me knee down ❤

i agree too! i have been playing a alternative ruleset that brings back that detail of customization. we dont have to play gw 40k, we can play community 40k and have a better time overall. 10th edition is made for the beginner, its not made for us veterans.

Woukd love a video where you go over your thoughts on the codex after having played s few games. Were you using the points in the codex ? Many people are assuming that the existing units stsy the same as the last mfm and only use the codex points fhe new units. You seemed to lack from the index a coldstar with exemplar of kauyon putting out massive damage on turn 2. Sunforges are great for tanks/monsters and starscythe are fine vs light infantry but we already had breachers for that. What do you think we can use against tougher 2 and 3 wound infantry ? Its a pain we have to have a assault weapon in the unit to get Assault thoigh the detachment rule. I wohld micj rather have max missile drones on thr broadsides. An auto advancing 6" missileside unit could ne interesting.

Do you guys house rule ruins? I don’t see how the Broadsides could see their T1 targets if you played ruins as Obscuring per core rules, since they weren’t wholly within.

Some taller buildings we ran as obscuring ruins as per the rules. The lower structures we ran as sealed buildings and containers (non obscuring). We called this out during deployment:)

His list is missing a number of the better units. No Pathfinders for double guidance/markerlights/ion rifles. Swapping out Hammerheads for Riptides. Strike Teams are not a great choice. Breachers with a Fireblade in a Devilfish are a much stronger pick with more mobility, ability to clear almost anything off an objective, and then hold it with OC.
