If the rear wheels would both turn inward about 20 degrees and the wheels themselves were more shaped like propellers, then technically they should grab enough water to propel the truck, assuming it's watertight and floats.

It seems obvious to me but no KZfaqrs are saying this in coverage of the interview… the revolutionary production process for Model 2s will be Optimus robots handling all of the production line work. That is what Musk means when he says it is going to be wild! Optimus production is at Giga Texas… for a reason.

@@brendanpells912 If Boston Dynamics robots had any use for Tesla production lines than they would already be used by them. I don't think they add any value for them. Using Tesla bots would be more useful, they can both test and showcase with them. But I am pretty sure the new Tesla line is not counting on any Tesla bots either, they are not at that point where they are that useful yet. They might have a few just to experiment with though, but not to really add any value at the moment.

while i understand the argument that people don't read much and that having the notice that the car isn't autonomous be in small letter in a long agreement form would be bad, it's literally written in only a dozen line. at this point it would probably be easier to sue every company that makes obscenely long user agree that mean next to nothing for desensitizing people to reading agreement.

The Cybertruck probably won't make it to European roads because a) it's too heavy, b) it doesn't perform well in crash tests, and c) its angular design goes against European regulations or isn't well-received. It might be cool for the US and Canada, and could pique interest in the Emirates, but for the rest of the world, including Asia, it doesn't seem likely.

Elon promises mind blowing tech pretty much every other week. Alien dreadnaught. Coast to coast autonomous drive. Steering wheel only there for regulatory reasons. Flying Roadster. Near unlimited towing.

How many planes that that have autopilot fly without a human pilot at the yoke at all times? An airplane autopilot system requires a human pilot to monitor it at all times. It's the co-pilot that fly a plane all on its own without the primary pilot present and nobody has complained about use "copilot" for the name of driver assistance feature.

They’re doing semi’s for regional routes. The market for heavy equipment isn’t as big as motor vehicles. I would think they’d go to something like electric bikes first.

@@pplusbthrust Maybe I’ve swallowed the koolaid a bit with Musk, but I don’t think money is the goal for him, it’s just the means to accomplish the goal. For example, he started SpaceX to push us towards colonizing the moon. He realized he needed to make space travel affordable and have large enough rockets to get us there, so he built the commercial part of the business to facilitate the end goal. Same with Tesla. His goal was always to get a mass market electric car out there. To do that, he needed the profits from the high end electric sports cars first.

I don't think so, because this "model 2" may not even have any steering wheel or pedals!! What is coming is a totally autonomous robocar that will be driven by artificial general intelligence and will not just know the road outside but the people getting into it and will talk to each one by name!

FSD doesnt exist. BMWs have lane keep that do the same thing it just didnt feel the need to show you what your sensor are seeing cuz thats useless information

SpaceX should stop internet access, BOTH civilian AND military from Starlink in the U.S. AND stop all government launches including the current X-37B, pending review of ALL contracts and saftey status of vehicles untill the FCC releases the $800+ mil. they owe SpaceX.

No, it doesn't make sense that Tesla would have the majority of driver assist accidents based on EV sales, because ICE cars also have driver assist systems. The only reasonable explanation is that Tesla's system is significantly worse than the others at avoiding accidents.

A better explanation is that other driver assist programs aren’t used as much or relied on as heavily because they’re less capable. I let FSD do 80% of my driving. I completely understand how someone could let their guard down and rely on the car to make too many of the decisions.

@@kungfoochicken08 So any explanation thatcabsilvrs Tesla of blame is the best one? Independent tests rate Tesla near the bottom in driver assist. And accident statistics bear that out. He built his empire on lies, and it is catching up with him. True believers might overlook it to support the "mission", but now that Tesla is selling to average car buyers, they don't get the benefit of the cult-like blind eye.

The proper way to analyze driver assist accidents is accident per km/miles driven with it enabled, not total number of them. The most used driver assist will likely have the most accidents and the safest will have the least per distance, these are not exclusive values, but only the second matters when it comes to determining safety level.

@@TroySavary you can literally go to their website and view safety report (currently up to Q4 2022) which shows miles driven before an accident. The only thing I can say is that I would want them a bit more detailed, but still they are enough to show the safety level.

You should know it's easy and hard to make that much profit. I say EASY because it's very possible to make that much, and Hard because you'll need professional assistance to do it, I'd suggest you get assisted by a market advisor.

I’m sorry but electric cars are very far off being full off road capable. Im not getting one until they are as capable as a diesel 4x4 in regards to water. Make the battery fully submergible and put all computer components in cabin. Preferably in roof. Ditch the gay roof window.
