Please stop being so good at convincing me these bikes are amazing. The bike is probably worth it, but I can't swallow the price. Triumph seems to be on one heck of a winning streak lately.

Which baggage options give the best comfort for a passenger? We tried the trekker expedition (GIVI outback) panniers and box and found the box (with pads) pushed the passenger too much in the back and the left pannier pressed against the passenger calf. The right pannier sits further out from the frame so doesn't annoy the passenger.

Adaptive Cornering Lights--what's the trick to make them work? Do fog lights need to be on; headlight dim or bright--any combination of the three??? The cornering lights on the Pan America were amazing, I've never even noticed the lights on my GT Explorer--is there an update needed for the 2023 models?

You said it's good for shorter riders. How tall are you and what's your inside leg measurement? I'm trying to get an idea before I buy.

With the new t-plane engine imitating Tracer's crossplane and Honda's big bang engines.. Triumph may be a very interesting bike.. well done.

You should mention the fact that this bike is incapable of displaying the odometer reading on the TFT. Apparently you have to go into the service menu just to get a look at your current odometer reading.
@shegocrazy Жыл бұрын
You check the odo when you are riding?
@raytschudy8643 Жыл бұрын
@@shegocrazy many people actually use the trip meter especially when trying to locate unmarked dirt roads. Also I keep an eye on my odo in a glance at the instruments as a whole. By your theory there is no reason to have any gauges viewable while riding. You check you fuel level while riding? You check your charging level while riding? You check your navigation while riding? Etc etc.
@shegocrazy Жыл бұрын
@@raytschudy8643 Silly argument. It makes no difference at all whether the odo is on 23432 or 23450 when riding however it DOES make a difference if the fuel level is on 1/4 rather than a 1/2. I never mentioned the trip meter.

@@shegocrazy I’m working on my first 600 miles so I need to know when the service is due. Almost everyone I know that has this bike thinks it’s ridiculous that you don’t have a choice of having your odo show on the TFT. The fact that you don’t care doesn’t matter.
@shegocrazy Жыл бұрын
@@raytschudy8643 Doesn't matter to me if you need to check your odo on the road to see how close you are getting to 600 lol. I'm more interested in watching the road and the cars around me.

Why couldn't they do the blind spot and keyless on the 900 🙄🙈
@Neil10522 жыл бұрын
While this may suit the small percentage of off road riders & ex GS/twin owners , I am really shocked to find how much the 1200 & 900 T plane engines seriously vibrate and annoy when ridden on tarmac ! The fitment of the T plane engine alienates many existing Triumph owners, who love and prefer smoother 120 degree Triples ! It's a real shame the Speed Triple RS engine with chain drive wasn't transplanted unmodified into the Tiger or a new Sprint ST 1200! After a dozen or so Triumph's, the T plane is an evolutionary route I will not take, so will keep my 1050 Triples and be buying from another manufacturer 😱😱
@russelljarvis7468 Жыл бұрын
No many agree with you?
@Neil1052 Жыл бұрын
@@russelljarvis7468 While the majority may well like the T plane engine, there's quite a few progressive road riders, existing 1050 owners & some of Triumphs own test riders who prefer the 120 degree motors that's in the 1050's & 1200RS Speedie, Shame the Speedie only has a 7kg limit for luggage 😡😡
@shegocrazy Жыл бұрын
The 1200 only has that vibe above highway speeds and even then it's barely noticable. It's more noticable on the 900 because of the lower speeds at the same revs. Coming from a big twin this triple is butter smooth lol.
@Neil1052 Жыл бұрын
@@shegocrazy My point exactly that T planes feel like a twin to me, I run smoother 675, 1050 Speedie & 1050 Tiger Triumph Triples & in line Four Cyl bikes all with more progressive Road Sports bias, so the offbeat vibes feel more annoying to me, much like Vtec on Honda V fours, or Bavarian flat twins, other evolutionary routes that's not right for me ! I am tempted to buy a 1200RS Speedie motor and fit it into a sharper handling sportier Sprint or Tiger Sport or I may just pick easy options with a GSX-S1000GT or an S1000XR, the Z1000SX is a more popular option for mant too 👍👍

the new tiger1200 sucks. Don't buy it, don't waste your money. If you want great big adv bikes KTM, BMW and DUCATI do much better. Triumph is garbage
