Very nice running B you have there? I also have a 1941 B but unfortunately. The oil control rings on cylinder 2 are bad and it blows oil out the exhaust.

@@ridgemeadowhobbyfarm8658 I think so but I do not know how much the tractor is self what it cost back in 41 but I think electric start was an option before it became standard myself I had a 1949 model B I bought it when I was still two months away from graduating high school in 2005 I bought it for $1100 and I put in about almost 2 grand worth of repairs into it Yes, getting parts for these tractors can be expensive but it is worth it. Unfortunately I had to sell my B I really wish I didn’t have to I could you will use it today where I live but if I could go back in time and do it again, I would do it in a heartbeat and have it converted to 12 V. I’m pretty sure why it died on me. The original wiring harness died, that’s why it would not start again now I can afford to have a converted to 12 V back then I could not afford to do it. Thanks for Watching! No generator. There are no lights or electric starter on this tractor. No battery to charge. Only electrical on this tractor is the magneto, which generates its own spark.

@@ridgemeadowhobbyfarm8658 oh, really? I never knew a vehicle could run without a battery and generator. My 1951 Model B has a battery and alternator. It was converted to 12V. Thanks for sharing your videos.

Sure can. The magneto essentially is the entire ignition system. It generates spark and distributes the spark to the plugs. Some have a sort of kill switch or short button to kill the engine. Ours does not, so we shut the fuel off to stop the engine. No need for a charging system. Pretty cool I think. Yours is a 51 you say? Do you have an electric starter? Might be the difference in the 10 years?
